Yeah I have a dictionary. It's real easy to use too. Comes in handy sometimes.
Irony also means: Incongruity between what might be expected and what actually occurs. USAGE NOTE: The words ironic, irony, and ironically are sometimes used of events and circumstances that might better be described as simply “coincidental” or “improbable,” in that they suggest no particular lessons about human vanity or folly.
The idea that the song "Ironic" has no irony suggest to me that just maybe someone else does not know what the word means. One definition of ironic is; contrary to what was expected or intended.

A traffic jam when you're already late
A no-smoking sign on your cigarette break
It's like 10,000 spoons when all you need is a knife
It's meeting the man of my dreams
And then meeting his beautiful wife

I said "What hand", and the irony is that using the hand in my avatar it might be expected that I know the answer to that question already. It would be improbable that I did not know.
Anyway, suggesting that someone does not know the meaning of the word when you clearly don't...now that's ironic. Sorry about the huge thread drift. I would have made things easier for everyone if I had just posted "I like the hand".
