In the Many Adventures Of Winnie the Pooh there is also a picture of Pooh and Mole together.

Every on-stage CM must wear a name-tag, if you forget you are given another one even if it does not have your real name on it.

The chicken exit at the HM is themed to the rest of the mansion. There are even bells for each of the rooms that are used to 'call' the Master's Butlers and Servants.

In the near future scene of WD's CoP the writting on the mothers computer is the script for the scene.

the WDW RR conductors are the only MK CM that are allowed to go in any land, only AFTER they remove their Conductor Hats.

The exposistion Hall on Main St had to be enlarged to try to hide the futuristic looking Contemporary Resort.

The AK deal with the hill surrounding it, sounds logic to me. There is no fresh air, because it hits the hill. :animwink: Same when it is cold, the cold air gets trapped in there. I think that would be something like the "greenhouse effect", no? :animwink:

The conversation just came up when we were on the tour. The tour is not well known yet, my wife and I were the only ones on it. So we had a personal tour, and we got to really have some meaningfull discussions with the guide. It was a little wierd wearing the headsets to listen to her, but it kept the other guest from taging along and tring to "get a free tour" syndrome from happining.

In all, it was very informative, and we got alot of info out of it. Did you know that most of the props you see sitting around in Asia are real, not Disney made. They actually bought or bartered them from people and sent them over.

Akira,
When I was in training, they took us backstage AK and explained to us a lot of things about the park. It really made us apreciatte it a lot more... (hence why I get defensive when someone criticizes it... hehe). I would love to take that tour too! :)

OK then using that senario, Then what about MK, There is the berm that surrounds the park that the train follows at MK to duplicate the design at DL, and with all the structures acting as a wind break why wouldn't the same happen there? and MK is smaller than AK. Someone mentioned eariler that the AC from the attractions at MK flows out of the buildings and cools the area, Well I talked to a HVAC friend of mine and he said that for there to be even a slight chance of that occuring the buildings temprature would have to be like a freezer inside for you to feel any cooling effects more that a few feet from the entrances.

From what I was told, she didn't give me an exact size, but it is quite high at AK. It is designed to keep animals in/out as a first defence. Of course they use other things like water and actual fencing as well, but this how it was explaned to me.

I also know all of this to be true because we ran into another tour guide that we had for the backstage safari tour the year before and he confirmed it.

Most of these I got off the TRAVEL CHANNEL special on WDW

- The MK is built 14 feet off the ground, under the MK...and in the 14 feet of concrete, are the service tunnels...

My understanding was that MK was not built on concrete but rather on the dirt that they dug out to create the Seven Seas Lagoon. Similar to the idea of digging a hole at the beach and then using that sand that you dug out to build a sandcastle.

The way MK was built was they flattened the area, then built the Utilidor system. Filled in all the areas that the Utilidor didn't go with dirt, Put a roof on top, then built MK on top of all of that. They couldn't dig down because of FL water table, so they built up.

Yes, I know that. My point was that I believe that the dirt they used to fill in those areas came from the dirt dug out from the lagoon. The lagoon is man-made and I think that's where the dirt from it went.

I also read that at the Polynesian there is a wave maker on bay lake. It was in operation for some time to give a feel of the south pacific but was shutdown later because of beach erosion.

The dirt story is true as far as I know. What they took out digging for the lagoon was used to build the MK.
I have also heard about the wave maker.

im sure everyone knows this, but ill post it again...lol

there are channels on the outside of spaceship earth that collect rain water (ever notice how you dont get wet when youre standing under the geosphere?) and the water is transported through pipes into the (correct me if im wrong) world showcase lagoon.

neat eh? lol

anyway, all of these posts have been very interesting! Thanx for everyone who has put their two cents in!

Thats impossible seeing that the eerie lights that light up the control booths are black lights aka infrared lights. I've also taped space mountain with my camcorders night shot feature and still nothing.......

I had a couple of experiences with nightvision on my trip in December.

First off, I taped parts of TTA with the nightvision, and when I got off the CM told me not to use the night vison feature on any attractions, because the night vision (aka infared) they use is blinded when a guest uses his/hers.

Also, on pirates of the caribbean, throughout the ride the have several cameras that are hidden very well, yet with the night vision activated, they appear on video as bright flashing lights.

On the Haunted Mansion, during the ballroom scene, the nightvision casts a horrible glare off of the glass in between you and the room. It looks like you are shining a flashlight off of it.

.....and also on Space Mountain, like Disjosh said, nothing happens with the lights, and even with night vision, you can't see much!:)

When 20k was opperational, it was not staffed by Fantasyland Cast Members even though it was considered part of Fantasyland........it was staffed by

.......anyone ......anyone.......anyone

the Tomorrowland Speedway Cast Members....

So they could have an "indoor" attratction. Just found that interesting when I found that out.
