- In the graveyard scene of the Haunted Mansion, a skeleton hand is stuck out of the ground holding a fastpass
- In Muppet-Vision, there is a sign at a reception desk that says that a key is under a mat. Lift the mat, and there is a key!

Here are a few taken from the spring 2002 issue of the Disney Magazine:
1) In the Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh, look for a picture on the left side showing Mr. Toad giving Owl the deed to the attraction

2) There are five different limos on Rockin Roller Coaster, each playing a different series of songs by Aerosmith

3) The rails on Big Thunder Mountain are the slickest in the late afternoon, when the grease on the rails is the hottest.

4) Shoot for the arm on the big orange robot in Buzz Lighter

5) The music notes on the lobby walls and gust rooms of the All-Star Music arrange the musical score for, "When you Wish upon a Star"

Thats all for now, once again, unfortunetly I can't take the credit for these, :( ENJOY!:)

When they did one of the original test runs for RnRC the credit cards of the people testing were demagnetized because they didn't vent the launch tunnel properly.

I herd for a teacher who was a CM that there are microphones all over the place for quality control. It there are to many complaints about an area something will be done. I Believe this because when we ate at the Contemporary I said something about wanting a refill and 10 seconds later our waiter came for the kitchen with a coke for me.

ºoº The American Adventure at Epcot is the only attraction at WDW to use forced-pespective the opposite way! The building is 5 stories tall, but designed to look like its only 3 stories. This was done by imagineers to make the 'host nation' look more grand and dramatic from across the World Showcase Lagoon. Next time your at the AA check out the size of the doors and windows, there huge!

ºoº Most of the props for frontierland were bought by Disney from farms and antique shoppes in the West

ºoº The Train Station in MK on Main St flies Mickey flags along with the American Flags, the City Hall flies a flag with a castle on it.

ºoº When a famous animal doctor who studies gorillas came to a preview of D's AK she asked if there was a gorilla on the tree of life imagineers were embarresed to tell her 'no'. But assured her one will be added before opening. You can see it when you enter the Its tough to be a bug theatre.

ºoº For every three trees 'on stage' at WDW, there is one understudy waiting backstage!

ºoº The horse hitching posts on Main St are sanded down and re-painted 4 times a year!

more later:king:

I'm not to sure if this is a secret of not, but what I have heard was that if it seems that AK is always hotter than any other park it is the truth because when they built AK everything on the outside was built up and so in a sense that built it with no air flow at all.
Another thing that I know about may be considered a secret is that on the Safari ride at AK they don't put all the animals out at a time, and when it comes to "calling" them in for the nite if they don't come they don't make them.
I'll let you know if I think of anymore.

Ok, I'll put this one to "bed". I'm the one who wrote about it in my trip report from October. We took the new AK tour, Wild by Design, and during the tour she explaned the "hotness" factor of AK.

The requirements for Disney to be part of the credited zoos made them design in a few security measures. One of them in a burm, or hill that surrond the entire park. The problem is the hill is high enout to prevent most breezes you get at the other parks from freely flowing at DAK, thus it feels hoter cos they don't get the airflow that the other parks get. They added all the mist fans to compinsate over the years beacuse of all the complints about the heat.

Now you know the rest of the story... :D

It's also built on higher ground than the rest of the WS, ever notice you have to walk up an incline on either side of AA.

Do these count...

Not really secrets...more fo the unknown, like behind the scenes.

Most of these I got off the TRAVEL CHANNEL special on WDW

- There is an apartment in the MK Castke...originally built for Walt's Family, since he passed on before the park was completed, it was used by WDW telephone operaters...

- The original TT tires only lasted a week before they needed to be replaced, a tire company sponsered them and created new tires ment for the terrain, the tires are now suited for 4 months of stress

- On average each TT car rack up 150 miles per day

- The Epcot ball was the first massive sphere to be lifted of the ground

- The MK is built 14 feet off the ground, under the MK...and in the 14 feet of concrete, are the service tunnels...

- 55,000 cast mebers work under WDW

- MGM studios was in the process of bieng built before Universal. There was a race for the opening, in which MGM won

- When opened, MGM only had 2 rides, GMR and the Back Stage tour.

OK, here's one.

Did you know that one of the backstage workshops areas has the nickname of Alagator Alley. The CM used to feed an Alagator at lunch, and then they were told not to, but no one informed the gator. The gator decided if the food wasn't going to come to him, he'd go to the food, and walking right into the workshop looking for a handout.

Allthough U.S. Steel designed and fabricated the room Moduals for the tower at an off site location and fabricated the steel for the contempoary's tower, The fight Roy had concerning the contempoary and the Monorail to run thru the grand canyon concource was with the Architechtular (sp?) firm that designed it, not U S Steel. US Steel just fabracated the steel elements. This source of information is from a special on WDW on the old Disney channel, back in the late 90's or early 90"s, If I recall right it was in an interview with Marty Sklar who has seen it all. I'm trying to look for the tape i have somewhere.

Not that I'm doubting it, since I havent been to AK since it opened , But wouldn't you think that the other parks with all the concreat surfaces and structures that the sun would bake thoes surfaces to raise the temprature there instead of AK where there is more Green area ?. Seems kinda strange to me

The AK deal with the hill surrounding it, sounds logic to me. There is no fresh air, because it hits the hill. :animwink: Same when it is cold, the cold air gets trapped in there. I think that would be something like the "greenhouse effect", no? :animwink:

In the Many Adventures Of Winnie the Pooh there is also a picture of Pooh and Mole together.

Every on-stage CM must wear a name-tag, if you forget you are given another one even if it does not have your real name on it.

The chicken exit at the HM is themed to the rest of the mansion. There are even bells for each of the rooms that are used to 'call' the Master's Butlers and Servants.

In the near future scene of WD's CoP the writting on the mothers computer is the script for the scene.

the WDW RR conductors are the only MK CM that are allowed to go in any land, only AFTER they remove their Conductor Hats.
