The Great Movie Ride ;)

Sorry MickeyAve, but the great movie ride IS on the chopping block, thats why the sorcerers hat was built, to take peoples attention away from the movie ride while it gets ripped appart. The movie ride was sort of the centerpiece of the studios. so they needed something else. I have heard that a ride based on the villians will be taking the movie rides place (Just a rumor but from a good source)

As far as my favorite ride, I'm sure you all figured it out by my name.... But in case your daft, HAUNTED MANSION is and always will be my favorite attraction of any and all theme parks.

Since I'm always travelling with my son who is five this year, I have not yet experienced many of the rides you are all mentioning. Therefore for me I would definitely miss any of the major shows, like Fantasmic, festival of the lion king, etc.
I can't wait until he's old enough to go on the 'Big Rides'; I can only hope they are still around when he is.

Journey in Imagination, Mr. Toad's Wild Ride, and Dreamflight

Was Dreamflight the airline related ride?

My faves are Space Mtn, Splash Mtn, and Big Thunder Mtn.

I would be very unhappy if they close the Great Movie Ride. Everytime we go through it, I go home and rent movies that I have seen at the end and I remember feel closer to Disney. I know, sounds lame. But I love the parks so much.

Some of the classics would get me mad. Country Bear Jamboree, Haunted Mansion, Pirates, Small World, Jungle Cruise, Tiki's, then the E-Tickets. I wouldn't mind them adding something to Test Track though. The ride loses it's touch after a while.

Magic Kingdom: Splash Mountain, Haunted Mansion

MGM: Backlot Tour, Great Movie Ride

Epcot: Spaceship Earth, and Test Track because last time I was at Disney they were building it. lol

Animal Kingdom: havent been there yet, but by the looks of things, the Safari or Kali River Rapids

Rides I'd hate to see closed down

As far as I'm concerned, most of the rides that Disney decides to renvate or close for good are usually in desperate need of a revamp. (World of Motion, c'mon admit it, despite all the technical problems you KNOW you secretly love Test Track, Horizons, yikes the faster Mission: Space comes, the faster I can forget about that ride, Legend of the Lion King, and the list goes on). But, I would be very disappointed to see Haunted Mansion go, a technical revamp maybe, but not a closing. It is still one of the best ride experiences in Diseny even after all these years. And can I just say that if Spaceship Earth doesn't get a royal renovation treatment soon I may write a strongly worded complaint letter, that ride could be epic, and right now...it just isn't.

You are VERY insulting, Bryy. VERY. I am totally against Test Track when comparing it to those magnificent memories of the old Motion Ride. VERY insulting. Don't base everyone's opinions on yours.

Food Rocks to KK? A waste.
New Tiki Room? Ditto.
Imagination? The same.

Test Track should have been built next to motion. In fact Motion was never even outdated...not at all...and all Test Track is a "look behind the GM motors and you scream a lot in tests"...not much education...sure, discovery...but you'll be screaming and the concept will be in one ear and out the other.

...you may feel insulted if I say..

Come on, Test Track? PLLLLLEEEASE. You KNOW you secretly love World of Motion.

I seriously think you do.

Here are the attractions I believe should ALWAYS be in existence SOMEWHERE. My other favorites (Dreamflight, WoM, Horizons, KK, and JII are now extinct):

*WALT DISNEY'S ENCHANTED TIKI ROOM
*CAROUSEL OF PROGRESS
*COUNTRY BEAR JAMBOREE
*THE HAUNTED MANSION
*IT'S A SMALL WORLD
*PIRATES OF THE CARRIBBEAN
*JUNGLE CRUISE
*THE MAIN STREET ELECTRICAL PARADE

Runners up: SE, Living with the Land, TTA, American Adventure, Splash Mountain, Peter Pan's Flight

They already did (World of Motion, Figment and Horizons) but I would be mad if they close Space and Spalsh Mountain, RnRC and Countdown to Extinction.

I cant believe no one else picked up on this message yet...

The "rumor' you speak of is COMPLETLY false. They had orignaly had plans to fill TGMR with a villian themed "cave" system, but the idea was "shelved". Eventually..it may get done..but it was NOT the reason why they built the hat there. They builit it there so that its the first thing you see when going into the park.

Your "good source" has old info ;)

Just clearing that all up...sorry if seemed rude...
