What other attraction should we do in DAK besides the big ones(Everest,Safari)?

Festival of the Lion King is a great show! And, you say you haven't done Dinosaur yet; this is a must-ride, in our family's opinion. Very fun, scary ride. I love the Asia part of AK the best, the themeing and the rides.

AK is my favorite park. Just love the atmosphere, and has some of the rides I like best (EE, Dinosaur).
I agree totally on Asia. The theming in Asia and Africa is the best I've seen at any Disney or other theme park.

I usually spend a day and a half in DAK, because I love wandering the trails/treks. If you only want to spend a half a day, I highly recommend the Festival of the Lion King. It is a great show. The Finding Nemo musical is also done very well. There is so much more to DAK than Everest.

First off though this is common knowledge is do the Safari first. Then head on over to see Africa's Walking Trail. The Gorrilas there are pretty neat. My family and I spent a good hour there watching the gorrillas. I also got some great photos there. Next up hit up the Maharajah Trail and then EE. Nemo is Good Lion King is good. A recomended restaurant if its in your budget would be the Yak and Yeti.

Not to sound like a downer but I don't think I would even venture out to DAK if I could only spend 3 hours there.

Conservation Station is a cool place if they are doing surgeries or other procedures (and you like that kind of stuff).

I would do everything. You never know what you like until you try it.
Yes, Everest, Safari and Dinosaur are the big attractions. But I really love riding the Wildlife Express Train. Sometimes I don't even get off at the conservation station...but I love to see where they house the animals. Once saw a rhino back there playing with a ball...it was adorable.

But I'd suggest give everything a try. You may fall in love with something that isn't as well liked by others.

I will have to spend more time on the treks as you all have suggested! Tough to Be a Bug is fantastic! I also enjoy DAK for more than it is given credit for!

I'm bookmarking this thread, as AK is my favorite park, and I have learned some things by reading here! My next trip, I want to make sure to spend TWO days at AK (I always get voted down, but this time I will not take no for an answer, lol).

In addition to what you mentioned, I recommend ITs Tough to be a Bug (good entertainment, often minimal wait). Kali River Rapids (often the wait times here build during day, Use FP if available). Festival of the Lion King (many feel the best show on property). Pangini Trail in Africa (sp?) ( Gorillas!).

3 pages and so far only one person has mentioned Priveival Whirl? Is everyone just overlooking that one, or am I just one of the only ones here who enjoys riding it?

I think you should do the 3 rides in Dinoland (Dinosaur, Triceratops Spin and Primeival Whirl), Kali River Rapids, the Safari, Expedition Everest, Rafiki's Planet Watch, Tough to be a Bug, and Fetival of the Lion King. If you have time, then the trails. I wasn't impressed with the Nemo show, but you might want to do it just to say you did.

Its okay, but perhaps the lack of mentioning is because it will be closed while they are there for refurb.

I would suggest trying to do the Kilimanjaro Safari first thing in the morning when the park opens, usually a walk on, and then later in the afternoon after it has cooled down. I also must repeat the call to spend a whole day taking it slow and exploring all of the little things that the park has to offer.
