Its overall Grand Design - the architecture of the of the pavilions, the landscaping, the lighing in the evening, the attention to every little detail, its current uniqueness.

And its home to my favorite Florida evening show - Illuminations.

Drinking around the world (I'm finally of age to do this with my fam, they have AlWAYS done this when we go) and the food, and the shops. It's also great to sit down and people watch too! I love Epcot! :p

the vriety, i mean of shopping, dining, cast members, themes, beers, music, cultures etc. it is just the best part of disney to spend money shopping, eat, drink & relax. it is without a doubt one of the more quiet and peaceful parts of the world. illuminations is the best show ever, last trip i watched it 4 times.

I love WS! I agree with others who said it is the relaxing atmophere of WS. It is so different than any other part of WDW. That is what makes WDW (and the WS) great!

We usually start in Canada and go around. I don't know why unless it is the unconscious "stay on the right" thing. I think on our next trip, we are going to start at Mexico! Think it would feel different?

Well, this one is easy because I LOVE WS, it has fast become my favorite place in all of WDW! As for my 3 favorite things?

1. The creme brulee in france is to DIE FOR!!!
2. Listening to Off Kilter with a drink in my hand
3. My absolute favorite thing, IllumiNations!

As a matter of fact, I love IllumiNations SO much that I just booked the Upper Terrace in the UK Pavilion for late October to celebrate my son's 3rd birthday! I rented a 7 bedroom house in the area and my whole family (about 18 people) is coming so we can go to Epcot to see IllumiNations, have some all-you-can-eat international goodies, and celebrate my baby boy's birthday together. I can't wait, so excited! :sohappy:

Hi! I'm at work right now "teaching" my students are watching a video about volcanoes and there is some really cool Japanese drumming music which makes me think of the drum players in the Japan pavilion of World Showcase. That leads to my question....What makes World Showcase especially cool to you? What about it makes it really special?

I can think of 3 things.... the cultural performers, the detail put into creating the buildings, and the wine at Italy!
I'm sorry, but the fact that you put "teaching" in quotes, and the fact that you're on this site while you should be teaching just craked me up.....

I think it's the uniqueness of the park, there's nothing else like it!
And of course, my favorite, Illuminations!

I guess teaching was very liberal, since I have a student teacher too. Supervising would be a better term!

30 days until DISNEY!

I think the views looking back over the water at the big golf ball are cool. The nighttime fireworks is a multiple time event every trip. We try to experience different foods each time we go. The casual pace of walking and visting every shop in each country. In the beginning of our trips it was commando style of go, go, go, we have to make it here or there. Now it's take your time enjoy the sights and sounds. My kids are still interested in the park, so it makes it easier to stroll. I like to see how many sample's of cologne I can try before my sinus problem flairs up. I do miss the ToN and ToD, but understand the congestion it caused when it was running. And yes Rob, the pain it inflicted on CM's. Still have the music to listen to. The music from each country still get me. I'm bringing some sort of recording device to capture my own sounds and keep them for myself next time. Yes, I like Epcot and world showcase. Hopefully October works this year. It will be the longest time for me not going to the world. I used to come down at least 2 to 3 times a year. It will be almost 2 years by the time i get down there this time.

I love the view, also. ^ I take a picture of it every time. I think I have a photo from every country looking over the lake.

One of the best things is watching Illuminations from the back of WS and just waiting until the crowds clear. I LOVE walking around WS to the front with very few people around. It is so dark and it feels like you have the whole place to yourself.

Lol....I just got done student teaching so it's funny you say that!
I think it's a law...if you want to teach, you have to be in love with Disney. I met so many Disney lovers in my student teaching!
