What is your MUST do?

I agree with you about the Contemporary. I actually enjoy going there and going to the top for the view. Unfortunately, though, they have now restricted that to people who eat at the restaurant. Sigh.

Uh, when did they start doing that? This past week of the 4th of july after breakfast at Chef Mickeys we took the elavator as high as we could go and then I wedged the door open with something and walked right out and took a few pic's and video, absolute gorgeous view. :D Nobody said boo to me.

It always depends...

Our "must-do's" always depend on where we are staying. As DVC members we stay at different locations each trip, so here are the "must-do's" upon arrival at the resorts... notice most are food related!

The Boardwalk - eat at the ESPN Club.
Saratoga Springs - eat at the Turf Club.
Beach Club Villas - Sit in the lobby and walk the halls.
Wilderness Lodge - Get a cup of coffee and sit in the lobby.
Old Key West - eat at Olivia's.

As far as the property as a whole... here are our "must-do's";

Magic Kingdom - Just stepping onto Main Street and walking the shops. Buzz.
EPCOT - Dinner at the Rose & Crown.
Studios - eat at the Brown Derby, pictures on "Streets of America"
Animal Kingdom - walk the Maharaja Jungle Trek, to the see the big Kitties!

The same thing I have done the first day of each trip since 1986.

-Check into resort
-Go to the marketplace
-Ride the monorail from Epcot to MK then back to Epcot
-Ride Spaceship Earth
-Go back to resort and rest before the vacation really begins!

Hearing Jack Wagner's voice on the MCO's Monorail to the Main Terminal..That first glimpse of Orlando and the sun in it's mid-day glow...When I hear "Welcome to Orlando International Airport" I feel so happy..

Our Must do list

Every year in November, my wife and I have our anniversary present at WDW. The trip is our gift to eachother. This year marks 14 happy years together!:sohappy:

My wife MUST visit the Haunted Mansion as often as we can. She has loved that ride from the time she was a little kid. (I have to admit, I realy enjoy it too.) Rock N Roller Coaster is another must to. Love Aerosmith!!!!!:animwink:

For me, I must have a Disney HOT DOG. They are the BEST. Must have one every day there. Then there is having my picture taken on the Speeder Bike at Disney Studios. I might be a little big, but it is now a tradition.

Then there is our tile at Leave a Legacy in EPCOT. We got that on our first trip in 2000 and look forward to seeing it.

Can't forget the food and wine fest. Love that too.

You know, the shorter list would have been "Things you must not do at WDW"

Can you still purchase any type of personalized items at any of the WDW theme parks? My mother passed away this year and I had wanted to get a tile for her at Epcot, but found out that has been discontinued. She loved Disney World and I would love to have something there to honor her.

Besides all the rides we have to do and all the restaurants we have to eat at, the one thing I love to do is visit my favorite spot in the MK, which is next to small world to the side of the stroller parking. I have someone, usually a daughter or my hubby and I , take a picture by the pond there overlooking the trees. It's a great spot!

I have to see British Invasion a minimum of 2 times per Epcot visit. Drives my family nuts. They're usually good for one, but find something else to do while I partake in ther rest.

I have to take a boat to MK the first day. Usually from the TTC, but I have been known to go out of my way to get to WL to take their boat. There's just something extra magical about it.

And I have to have a beer on the beach at Poly. And a hot dog at Caseys. And a character meal or dinner show. And I have to spend the last morning of our trip at the marketplace.

Boy am I a creature of habit or what???
