What is the WORST music at Disney World?

Am I the only person who is unoffended by the Test Trackk mix?

No you are not. I like the Test Track mix as well. Sure it's not the best in the world but I like it and it fits the attraction. And I even like the Buzz Lightyear "military" theme . And while I do not like Tiki Room: Under New Management, the music at least fits the theme of the updated show. But from the samples I have heard from the internet the worst music currently at WDW has to be:

The new preshow music to Illuminations! Get out your glow sticks :brick: Illuminations is just too classy to have that type of "music" before it. The same can be said of Fantasmic. That type of music belongs in Pleasure Island, not the theme parks. To me this would be like taking Frontierland area loop and putting it into the Space Mountain queue. It just doesn't fit.

I haven't been in the Test Track queue since 1999 (because I've gotten in twice since via VIP pass or through the GM lounge and thus have missed out

BLASPHEMY. Sounds like you are one of Uncle Mikey's "stoogies" that don't want to mingle with us "regular folk".   :hurl:   :p

No, I just don't want to wait 3 hours for a 5 minute ride. . . and from what I remember, the queue was pretty loud, anyways.

(Plus, the GM lounge is COOL! :D )

The queue is fun & interesting. Granted I never really waited any significant time in it due to Fast Pass, single rider or going at the proper time.

Look at you lounging it up with the big wigs :p

I feel like I'm the only person who, for some reason, doesn't even notice queue music or area music all that much. I guess I'm too busy talking to the people I'm with. But I'm sitting here trying to remember all of these queue music and area loops that everyone seems to hate so much, and am coming up completely blank as to what they are. I'm a bad, bad WDW fan. :(

Not at all! Now you know about a new aspect about WDW.

The FIRST song they play, doesn't fit.

Everything else is fabulous. The celtic music--complete with bag pipes is absolutely wonderful.

The worst music I heard at Disney came from the headphones of some kid and his walkman. I hate second-hand tinny techno and rap. I'm not too keen on it first hand either.

I have to admit that I can't remember what the queue music for Test Track it. But then I have not been on it that often, as like Grizz I don't like a long wait for a five minute ride.

I like the Fantasmic pre-show music and have most of it on my PC.

Anything that uses unoriginal, commercial radio-friendly music is bad, and an insult to my intelligence, IMO
- Dinoland music
- Blizzard Beach
- Winter Summerland
- DCA (California) has a LOT of this

I don't go to a place like WDW to listen to muci I can hear on my radio at home. Yeah, it may fit a theme, but it's not very creative or immersive. The *only* place it works in WDW is the RNRC queue.

There are only a couple real music loops that I don't like:
- Tomorrowland. It's not bad, but it displaced the loop we all know and love
- MK Entrance. It has clips from attractions we don't even have in the MK. 20K? Star Tours? Alice In Wonderland?

Are you ready for a confession? If you are not please back away from the monitor or discontinue reading. I never notice Disney music. I have only been to the parks with other people and I'm talking or listening most of the time. But I did notice the music on Buzz. It's loud. Very loud. I wouldn't really mind it if it was a bit lower except for when the red lights go off. That should be at the same volume as it is now. If I heard the music over myself explaining what to do to my mother and through her saying what will happen if I told her to hit the wrong things then the music needs to be turned down.

Oh well that's good news. I listened to the begining of the MP3 and I turned it off immediately in disgust. Thanks for correction.

There is something in the Spectro Magic parade that makes me want to open a vein. I can't stand the trumpet blast they play when the next float is arriving. Especially since the last time I was there the sound system wasn't working properly and you couldn't hear the music from the individual floats just the trumpet blast over and over. I love the parade but I was praying it would end.

I kind of like the test track music. It does get a bit redundant though if you have to stand in line for a long time. I always fast pass it,so it's seldom an issue.

i think i'm going to have to agree on the Spectro parade...the techno sounding trumpet cuts through me like a dentists drill (shudder). i'm usually heading off to a ride when the parade comes around, so i won't have to listen to it. :)

test track's queue music is pretty bad, just generally irritating...i usually tune it out though. buzz lightyear is the same way.
