What is the worst job @ WDW?

I would say the car stunt show in MGM. I worked that a couple of days and the fights I saw almost break out because they wouldn't let anyone in after the cut time. It is due to security and saftey reasons that they wouldn't allow people to go in while the show is going on. People don't get that.

Sometimes I would say some of the fast food and beverage jobs are intense and hard work for little to no money. You have customers yell at you like it is a 5 star diamond resturaunt.

Then you have strollers. You deal with rude people all day that take your aggression out on you

Well, let's look at the positive side....you may be stuck behind a computer in a cubicle in an office somewhere....but hey! at least you'd be working at WDW! ...and probably making a padload of money, too!

I agree and you also get tickets and you are treated well in the company. I wouldn't complain!

Exactly what kind of room trashing is there?

I can see towels and wash rags strewn about rather than in a pile, but how else does someone trash a room?
Are there fried chicken bones on the floor maybe?

Somehow I missed the advanced class on room trashing.

Not neccessarily. I had some hell as a performer. I chose to perform in the shows and the parades but you do choreography for atleat 45 minutes straight in the heat of the day. Not in the shade signing books.

For me, I would hate to be the person that takes the 3D glasses at the end of the Philarmagic, Muppets, etc. Taking all of those glasses from the big bins and putting them in order - couldn't do it.

A friend of mine worked housekeeping on CP. She went in to great detail about the trashed rooms, and I just have two words for you: BODILY FLUIDS.

I would have to agree with what someone else mentioned...I think Mousekeeping would be the worse job at wdw. People can be major pigs, and I wouldn't be surprised if some folks did trash the hotel rooms. Just look in the restrooms around the parks alone, you do your business for a few minutes or whatever and people still manage to be disgusting and filth-up the restrooms. I am a neat freak so whenever Im in a hotel room I act just the way I would act in my home. And let's not forget that not everyone tips mousekeeping either, which sucks for them also.

Yeah mousekeeping's job is just completly unfair! I mean I remember a few years ago we checked in at the contemporary and were told our room was ready and they gave us the keys so we went up to go drop off luggage, and make a pit stop because a normal half hour drived turned into a 2 hr one do to traffic, but none the less we went into the room and the curtains were torn out of the celling and urine all over the bathroom floor. We were nice about it, we were like umm listen I think there might of been some miscommunication cause that room is NOT ready, nor in a state which will allow it to be occupied, the staff was extremley apologetic. But yeah it can get pretty bad.

Oh my, you read my mind. I started at Casey's and then moved to Strollers, a man i hate it working there. The heat, smell, the craziness.

Now over strollers is pretty bad, but I manage to loose weight, and have fun.

On that note, think about another place that is pretty bad and no one says and that it working on conventions support, like Audiovisual and or set ups. Man now that is some crazy people that we deal with.

Actually, i was overrulled by someone who was in housekeeping. I was told that that Food/Bev specifically the people who cook the turkey legs - is the worst job at Disney.

I'm sensing a Mike Rowe/Dirty Jobs tie in here somewhere....

People are pigs. Some people took the "Pete Townsend" course on room trashing. And some people have so much money, they honesty don't care. Lots of trash and lots of nastyness.

Savages and their kids. I wont say what resort (you probably wouldnt be surprised) nor where the guests were from, but it took 2 people over an hour to clean the room every day and it took 3 of them to clean it to specs when they checked out.

Needless to say, the guests got a bill when they came home.

I think the job at WDW I would least like to have is the cashiers at the counter service restuarants.

I just wouldn't have their patience.

They stand and or sit all day listening to and or explaining to people who havn't got a clue about the Disney Dining plan and what it includes and/or does not include, all the while hot sweaty people are standing in line growling and glaring at them because the line isn't moving fast enough.

I heard of one instance at The Columbia Harbour House where a lady was insisting that her child wanted a Cheeseburger and fries and the Cashier explained that Columbia Harbour House didn't serve Cheeseburgers but still the lady insisted that her child was going to have a Cheeseburger.

I try and always read the menu and decide what I want BEFORE I get in a counter service line.
I also try and be kind and appreciative to the cashiers there.
You'ld be surprised how easily a smile, a "thank you", and a "good job" comment can turn a horrible day into a great day for these hard working and very patient and tolerant people.

i can beleive it....i have a bed and breakfast place in the uk, and the people with the money are the worst, youd think theyd bought the house and i was the guest! ungrateful and very dirty, leave the place disgusting, most dont even flush after they have left the room.
back to thread the worst job, is the persons who has to lock wdw every night.dont think i would like to lock all that magic up every night.x

I agree with housekeeping, however i would also stress that cleaning the fantasmic theatre up after each show is disgusting. turkey legs all over the place, split drinks, ice cream leftover, nappies - and sometimes we had only 1/2 hr to get it show ready again
