I'm not a fan of Hoop Dee Doo Revue. I'll never go there again.
BUT ...
... don't let that stop you. I'm very aware, now, that it's just not my thing. I'm just not entertained by "country" humor. I'm not against it in any way, I just am not entertained by it. Just because I don't like it doesn't mean it's a low quality show ... it's just not my idea of a good time, that's all.
It's clear that the performers work very hard and are full of energy and talent.
I have to say, though, that I was very disappointed by the food. It may have been my particular batch of food, but I was very disappointed. I'm used to ribs that melt off the bone, but the ribs we had were Krazy-Glued to the bones and the meat we were able to gnaw off was tough. The fried chicken was on the dry side (the meat was dry ... I'm not saying that the outside wasn't greasy enough :ROFLOL

. The beer included in the price is Bud Light. I'm a self-admitted beer snob ... I can't drink Bud Light ...
I think Diet Coke is a better beer than Bud Light
. The sangria was undrinkable, to my taste.
I can't imagine that the ribs are always tough and the chicken always dry, because I'd read rave reviews of the food before I was there.
My son was 5 at the time we saw the show. One of my favorite memories of that first trip to Disney was when the curtain opened at one point to reveal all the food servers on stage, holding family-sized portions of strawberry shortcake that were destined to be served by those folks to their tables. My five year old had this huge smile and he stood up and said to me, "Daddy! LOOK! Dessert, live on stage!!!" Love that memory.
