What if this thing fails?

I don't think Disney will ever fail so long as it continues to endear itself to the public through its branding. And it's branding is now including things with their own massive audiences like Pixar and Star Wars and Guardians and the other Marvel entities when they're allowed to use them. People will always keep dreaming about going to Disney and having their kids experience the magic. Whether or not they can afford it is questionable, of course, but that's the way our society is moving.

I do think some older rides and older storylines/characters will fall out of favor, maybe to be reimagined one day, or not; maybe replaced, or not.

Psychologically, I agree... but, there is a reality involved that if you make your potential customers unable to afford what you are selling, they will stop buying. You shrink up your potential business and in a bad time it could be catastrophic.

That is especially true if those with the money find themselves bored with the place or it doesn't fit their changing daily, idea of what is a status symbol. I don't think it is going to happen right away unless we were to fall into a full blown depression, but, it is always possible. Being endeared does not mean that one can afford it. I am quite endeared to have a million dollar yacht, but, no matter how I have the desire, I am unable to buy one.
