I read somewhere on another forum that i will not name lol, that some members would of liked to see Alien Encounter make some sort of return at Hollywood Studios and it well....got me thinking. Could it work at DHS?

The only way I would like it in DHS would be if they tied it in with the Alien films. So instead of the old AA you would encounter a xenomorph from the Alien films.

Oh please no.....don't even think it. Alien Encounter was one of the worst, most stupid attractions to ever inhabit that particular area of Tomorrowland. If only I could get back the time I wasted checking it out (and the same goes too for the current Stitch show there as well).

better than stitch

Now I am not a great stitch fan but the stitchs great escape that replaced alien encounter is terrible its just the same ride or event only worse.
I would like to see alien encounter back if only to show that disney shows it can make a mistake, sure it was not the greatest ride but it is really much better than stitch something different & surley thats what its all about giving people something different to think about.
Themed with the alien films would be fantastic but it will never happen.:sohappy:

This is the only thing that could happen which would lead me to emotionally accept the Alien scene being took out of the GMR should it ever be refurbed.

Ae - rip

I truly loved AE the first couple times I experienced it. My very first time was without a doubt the most immersive experience I have ever encountered at any theme park, even to this day. The downfall of any ride of AE's ilk is it doesn't keep that same luster after you know the story (or hear the same "It's my Mother-In-Law" joke).

The problems with that type of interactive show, be it Mission to Mars, AE, or SGE you know what to expect. Granted the jump from Mission to mars to AE was light years, technologically speaking, but you still knew the show would take place in the center of the room and your seat would shake a bit. The rest of it was what made AE so great (Alien breathing on your neck, tongue flicking your hair, heavy footsteps behind you, blood spray from the guy getting attacked on the catwalk, ETC...). The move from AE to SGE was not so great because they really didn't change what happened in the show. You expected stich to jump around on your seats, mess up your hair, they even told you that stich was going to spit on you before you rode SGE (Planning Video, Top 7, etc.). Same effects in a far less immersive story that is directed at a much younger demographic equaled failure for anybody who experienced AE. On the same note, I have heard lots of kids who were too young to have seen AE say SGE was there favorite attraction at the park (seriously, I know).

I say let sleeping Aliens lay. Give me something new to experience.

Holy crap, that would be awesome! I'd pay good money to be attacked in the dark by a xenomorph. Stitch with hot dog breath? Not scary or interesting, just lame and gross. Xenomorph with hot dog breath and second mouth sticking out? Scary, creepy, fascinating and awesome in every way. Someone call over to Bob Iger and talk him into it. Go, now, hurry! :sohappy:

Ahhh, the good 'ol days of grabbing a dole whip and sitting outside the exit to AE and watching all the parents try to calm their sobbing and frightened children! Good times!
