What I think...as of today...for now...

I'm told south.
I have some documentation from last fall showing them between the curve in the Speedway and Barnstormer. That seems to be the current plan.

Possible. I could see them holding some space aside for a small Phase 2 over there.

hmmm... interesting. seems like a tight fit, but I can see where it works.

I hope they hold some space. That entire area is just too much dumbo, in my humble opinion. But maybe when it's done I'll love it.

I don't doubt you the only area I question is the More Dumbo area and yes I think that area will be held off for phase 2.

Meh. Not crazy about tents. That being said, I'm loving a new attraction in the place of a M&G on steroids.
I don't think many people are...but that's what Toontown Fair currently is, anyway, so this is largely a wash--except for the fact that it does move Dumbo out of its currently congested location. This will do a lot to help with all of the congestion that normally is found behind the castle, which I view as a good thing.

Yes, there will be some dead space in these new plans, but they kind of need that. Stroller parking is a huge issue in the current Fantasyland, and this would free up ample space for stroller parking areas while still leaving the walkways walkable. That is not always the case in the current Fantasyland.

And dead space isn't always a bad thing. Epcot has lots of dead space...they fill it with nice gardens and waterways...and the original plans for the FLE did clearly include new water features.

They Just keep getting more pathetic!!

If they are giving us Circus-land in the east then they are going cheap. What attractions have they added recently that indicates anything different? I thought the FLE was a turning point and WDW was going to start getting the same consideration that DLR gets. But alas, the man who was trying to make that happen was 'reassigned'. Now we are getting circus-land and a dumbed down FLE. Sad day.

YES I agree they have cheapened it!!! WDW is cheap!!! And is no way at any kind of turning point!!! They keep going down hill with everything they are doing lately!! And this is just another example!! To no surprise they have watered it down, they are going to make another half done messy themed land!!! While universal will remain champions with wizards world!! because not even disney will ever be able to match that! I think they should be calling upon universal for some ride technology and design help, because it seems disney is a little handicapped with that department lately!!! And thats just pathetic!!!!:fork:

Agreed on every point. I really can't wait to see this whole expansion when it's finished!

General Grizz was a former forum member who would get quite a bit of credible inside information. Unfortunately, he was a strict traditionalist and viewed almost any change to or removal of an existing attraction as the end of the world.

Lee, any idea when Disney is officially going to announce these changes?
Don't know.
If I had to toss out a guess? In September at the Parks and Resorts "What's Coming Next Year" luncheon. Or that D23 thing that's coming up. Or October 1st, just because of the date.

In summary...

Which Grizz were you thinking of?

Grizzly_Hall I belive is who he is mentioning. He seemed "trollesque" at times and a lot of posters gave him a hard time so he claimed he would retire from posting after 1000 posts.

I don't believe Mr. Spock is him because he would have posted something about being excited for "more thrills".
