What I think...as of today...for now...

I am hoping for a ride similar to "Fire in the Hole" at Silver Dollar City. Awesome little dark coaster that is fine for almost all ages but teens and adults get a kick out of it.

A virtual ridethrough screencap ^

Scenes like that would be incredible. I wouldn't even expect it to be a "coaster" in any sense of the word if they would just build a dark ride with REAL scenes like that again!

Well....if that happens, it happens.
Nothing we say here can/will have any effect on it at all anyway.

You know, the whole "accept the things you can not change" deal.

Wisdom born out of your AC experience I'm certain. jk

OK, so Steve has confirmed a mine train is happening. Thank you Steve. But do you know if any other rides are part of the reimagining? We are also losing the PH flat ride (not that I care, that was a miss although PH land would have been nice).

So it sounds like 1 ride added (junior mine train) and 2 lost (SWSA and PH flat ride).

Is that how you are hearing it?

Don't look at it as losing the Pixie flat ride (Bobble and Clank's Whirl and Twirl). That was pulled fairly early, never even made it into the art or model.

I thought I saw it somewhere on the net. The giant model with the diffuse lighting

Anyway, you dodged my question . Do you know of any new rides besides the mine coaster and the stuff we already know about?:veryconfu

It looks badass. I mean it's on it's own island. Let me repeat, IT'S OWN ISLAND!!! BTMR out there makes WDW's look like small world.

No one lost and one gained PH was never going to happen.

The fate of SWSA is unknown. (I'm sure the powers-that-be know, but Lee has said he is hearing conflicting reports.)

We also don't know what PH would have included right up until it got the axe, so to say we "lost" a ride isn't exactly correct. For all we know, the PH ride could have been blue sky. If we were never promised a ride, how did we "lose" it? We weren't promised a new ride when the project was announced (outside of Ariel's Undersea Adventure) and look where we are now.

You are absolutely right. It made it's way onto the model (I was thinking of the prints), but was really only a placeholder.
I'm confident it's not. But I'm not an insider so hey.
Sorry to hear that.
Wanna bet?

I'm pretty confident SWSA's days are numbered.

Thanks for the 'confirmation'. I don't really care about this because I think something much more compelling is possible. I'll be armchair imagineering an idea I have. :)

Na I'm good but I'm confident it's going to stay. Matter fact if your right every time you see any of my post you can remind me on how you were right and rub it in. And vice versa for me. Sounds like a deal?

I think the best way to look at it right now is that it is perhaps a coaster ride system, that will be child/family orientated, with a good amount of theming. It should not be confused with being a thrill ride that is going to satisfy teens/adults that are expecting a RnR or Expedition Everest level of coaster-thrill.

That sounds similar to The Dragon roller coaster at Legoland California. (They have one at Legoland Windsor too, and probably add one to Legoland Florida. It appears to be one of their signature attractions in all their parks.)

It's a typical coaster train themed inside a big lego castle, and the first minute of the ride the train travels slowly through showrooms in the castle with scenes alongside the track. A 60 second clip of the show scenes; http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zjmfUDPGepo

After you encounter the big dragon, the train heads outside and up the lift hill and then begins the junior coaster portion of the ride around the castle show building. It's cute, and has modest thrills with a short height requirement.

My one concern is whether or not this is going to be something that two adults would get on or is it strictly for parents and little children? When I think of a jr coaster I think of barnstormer, which is not really meant for adults to get on unless there riding with their scared child. I don't know how to really describe it but I am a 32 yr old male and I don't feel awkward riding Peter pan or pooh or other dark rides but there is something about barnstormer that I would feel like a complete jackazz if I was riding. Please tell me that this is going to be something everyone will enjoy of any age. Does anyone know what I mean?
