It has a very loyal following

I prefer superships and the better island over characters…but that’s just me
I did not really care for the 1 supership I went on. (Utopia) Everything was bigger, but I did not feel that it was better. I was most definitely not impressed with the food. The restaurants that you had to pay extra for were great, but the ones that were included were just not good.

Well we cheat…basically only eat in the upsells. Which are very good.

But when paying that extra…way ahead of what animators palette gets me.

I want to go back to dcl…but their ship construction has lagged and the comparison of both they’re outdated private islands compared to coco is pronounced.

I will get back there though…they just gotta catch up a bit

Yeah I'm down with that. But it's important to differentiate if you're experiencing dining options with or without kids. Speaking strictly as doing the cruises with no kids, getting the unlimited dining plan eliminates the need for the complimentary restaurants. Not all of them were great, but it was overall better than the experience you'll have on DCL.

Correct…

My two (15 and 17 now) were kinda “meh” on dcl…not really kids club types…and have been doing all the upscale on royal and celebrity since they were 8…to each their own 😂

That it is.

I have always felt that we got value from the DCL compared to the other two cruise lines the wife and I have sailed on so I don't really mind the inflated price tag.

DCL is pricey but they don't nickel and dime as much and the main dining room food is above average.

When you realize you have to pay extra for better meals and things like soda on other ships, the price difference does shrink a bit.

Disney charges more but does offer a premium experience. Back to the Starcruiser, the experience was extremely well received by those who did it. It was a premium experience but the price went beyond premium, to being out of reach of the average consumer.

Dcl is 200% the charge of comparable ships with the same or often much better boats. But if you assume you’re gonna shell out for upsells…it does shrink it to probably a 25-50% upcharge

Disney charges more but does offer a premium experience.
This can be highly contested. My experience is that DCL - and credit to Disney for developing this - is a lot of brand loyalty over substance. Big fans swear until the asteroid hits that the food, service, cleanliness are undoubtedly better…
Objectively that really isn’t so. I actually think no casino (which are gross) is a big part of that and an advantage to Dcl.

What was the topic again?

Oh…Star Wars meat locker. They’ll wait an “acceptable” time until no one remembers it and then quietly take it down. It’s the only way for the ego lords to downplay it. Never admit defeat.

An aggressive management would announce a park expansion that way as part of the demo…snatch victory from the jaws of defeat…

But we see what may happen? Shutting down muppetvision and doing a skin on rockinroller coaster

I bet that there are surveys overwhelmingly saying THAT is what the guests demand 🫣

I do wonder if they are maintaining the climate control inside the building or just shut every thing off?

If they simply shut everything off, that could be very bad.
The place had no windows and I'm sure was very solidly built. There is no danger of pipes freezing or floors buckling due to cold weather.
