What do YOU want the 5th gate to be?

I would like to see a park themed to old world Europe. Each "land" would be a different country. The rides would explore the history, cultures and legends of the country's. I also like the Disney's America park idea.

However, before any sort of 5th gate is built, I want:

1. A new E-ticket, and several smaller rides at MK
2. Finish the updates of the pavilions in Epcot. A couple of new rides in World Showcase too.
3. 2 new E-tickets and a few D and C tickets at DHS
4. Same as DHS with AK, plus pandas added to Asia in a new trail around the base of Everest.

Ok I may be alone in this, but all of the Disney Parks (especially my favorite MK) are loosely (if at all) based on Disney movie and characters. I know there is like Snow Whites scary adventure, etc. BUT when I go to Disney World, I love the feeling of magic, mickey, and princesses. Correct me if I'm wrong but there isn't even a Mickey Ride at DW!!!!

I would love if the 5th gate was a park revolving around Disney movies and characters. So my one ride concept which I've had since I was 8 (I'm 22 now) was a Little Mermaid log flume ride. And I wanted it to take you through the whole story with alot of surprises and cool effects. And in the finale when Ursula is getting bigger and taller the log flume is going up, preparing for the big decent and when she pops you have the big fall. Then when you fall down you are "Under the Sea" and above you is water and there is music and Sebastion is there and all the other characters too. (in my head I can see the ride and its much cooler than how I wrote it :p
Of course I would want there to be a Mickey and a Minnie ride too. Oh and a beauty and the beast ride.

I love AK, Epcot, all of them. But if there really was a park like this I would be so excited. Because like I said before, just going inside a Disney store gets me excited. I love seeing all the characters and the magic. And if there was a park dedicated to that I would be so happy! :sohappy::sohappy::sohappy:

I would much rather them add new attractions and lands to the existing theme parks. But if they were to add a fifth theme park I wouldn't mind a DisneySea park. Only if they could have the same budget, of course...

Nonexistent...at least until:
1. All six Parks (I'm including the Water Parks) have filled any holes they've created by shuttering attractions (Wonders of Life, Skyway, Galaxy Theater, The Diamond Horseshoe, the Odyssey, Millenium Village, etc.)
2. Chester n' Hester's, LMA, Journey Into Your Imagination, Test Track, and Under New Management are destroyed and something worthwhile is put in their place.
3. All empty spots within the Parks that can be used for new attractions are filled in. There's plenty of room in Animal Kingdom, new countries could be added to World Showcase, new pavilions could be added to Future World, the 20000 Leagues plot in the Magic Kingdom, etc.

This, as a guess, will probably take around 20-30 years, if not more. Honestly, though, I don't think a seventh Park is needed right now.
I agree entirely:wave:

In an ironic twist, the Wand is mounted on top of the building housing the old SSE attraction. :lookaroun

But the main thing about many of these extinct attractions is that they were axed for a reason. Horizons for one was completely empty by the early-90s. Why would we want a park full of failures? And I don't mean the guests.

I don't see why some of you think it won't happen anytime soon. So far, there has been a new gate every decade, and it's already too late to have one built for the 2000-2010 decade, so I'd assume they would want one within the first 2 years of 2010-2020.

But the difference now is that they've kind of reached their "limit" for now. Disney now has to balance refurbs of attractions that have been operating for a long time with building new things and still keeping a profit. Right now, the need isn't there for a whole new park. Animal Kingdom still has a long way to go and DHS has just been left to rot basically.

DHS will most definitely keep a 5th Gate from happening anytime soon because that park needs alot of work. Look at it like EPCOT was 10 years ago. Hopefully, DAK won't be in that category in 10 years.

I realise this, but several on this boards think it would be a possibility to actually completely reconstruct these attractions long after their props (and probably blueprints) have been destroyed.

I've never liked the idea of a Villains park either. Not only would it be a tremendous stretch to link all these villains from different times and places under a cohesive theme, it also doesn't sound like a thing Disney would do. What, would the villains win at the end? Or would every ride end with some form of horrible defeat for the villain in question? It's never sounded like a good idea to me... people just say "Villains Park" without thinking of the logistics involved.

I think that before they create a new park they should first fix some things.

1. Magic Kingdom needs to replace the stich ride with a whole new ride not like the one they have now.also add new attractions around the park.
2. Epcot should either make a national treasure ride or a ratatouille ride somewhere in the world showcase.
3. DHS needs to get star tours upgraded because its kind of out of date now. They need to re-do the backlot tour and change up the catastrophe canyon. And i think it would be cool to add some new affects to TOT. not saying that they have to but it would be cool.
4. and animal kingdom needs to get rid of dino-rama and put something else related to dinoland in there. also i think it's time for dinosaur to get some upgrades, im not sure what kinds of changes, but it should. One more thing that they should do but wont happen is make Beastly Kingdom. even though ik it wont happen i wish it would:cry:

but anyways i think before making a new park ,wich i think they will do in the near future, should make some adjustments with there current parks they have.

I've often thought the same thing...It would pretty odd for a Disney Park ti always looks gloomy and evil.THe idea is better suited to be a land in MK.

What about a park called Neverland? They could put a big pirate ship as the "wennie", as Walt would call it, and have a different lands areas in the park. One could be "Wonderland" and another could be Narnia, IDK but it could be really neat. I would like to see all types of rides, shows and attractions. A place for the whole family, not just for thrill seekers.

A dream untill MGM is more than a 3 hour park, Epcot has new counties and two E tickets front of park area, AK needs three rides at least 1 of which should be E ticket, two E tickets and three smaller attractions at MK, some additions to the water parks and a partridge in a pear tree.

I agree all of that would be nice. But considering these dismaying observations:

They've opened two parks (MGM and DAK) since the last addition to World Showcase (Norway). And they built DAK before solving the half-day MGM problem. And it's been how many years since a genuine E-ticket was added to MK?

So, yeah, they'll probably open a new park in 2 years with 3 C-ticket attractions. Because that's WDI's new style (Paris Studios, HKDL).

But if guests didn't have to visit multiple parks to fill up a single day, they wouldn't have to pay the extra $$ for park-hopper upgrades. (unless Disney decides to make the park-hopper feature mandatory :drevil:)

i think a thrill ride park would be great... but i do agree that filling up the other parks should be first priority.
