What do you do while waiting in long lines?

Sorry, I can't be of much help with the silly games. We usually made them up on the spot in regards to something we saw or heard while waiting in line. They often would involve spotting similar items or using imagination to create new nonsensical words or silly stories to describe what we had seen or heard.

Back when I was using the Foursquare app on my phone, I was checking in and trying to become mayor of different attractions and ride as I could. Otherwise, I simply people-watch.

Well I'm usually in line with the people I'm with so we chat/ talk about what ride we want to do next or food we want to get. I'll take some pics also or just reflect on all we've done and how much fun we're having! I think the longest I've waited is about 20minutes so it doesn't take much to fill in that time.

Me and my son watch the expressions on people's faces and make up what we think they are saying in their mind. Like angry face man "I can't believe I spent all this money to stand in line" or happy face guy with a wife and 3 screaming kids standing behind him "I don't know these people, I'm here by myself". :)

Chat with my group, or if I'm alone, talk to people around me. My phone usually spends the whole day buried at the bottom of my bag.

I also like to play the games my Dad played when I was whiny in Disney lines as a kid. Keep the tradition going!

Love this.

Do you have any favorites? My DD5 is much better at waiting in line and being patient than I am. She needs some games to keep me occupied!
When my kids were young and had to pass the time we had a few things we would do. I would ask them to point out all the square objects they could find (or circles, or red items, etc). Also Play "We're Going on a Picnic". The first person starts by stating, "We're going on a picnic and I'm bringing _______ (something that starts with the letter A). The seond person states, "We're going on a picnic and I'm bringing ___________ (whatever the first person said and something that starts with the letter B). Continue taking turns adding the next letter of the alphabet at each turn. The more you play the better the kids get at recalling more and more items. Have fun!

Our family favorite is rock paper scissors. We have managed this with 3 players, which is pretty silly. One memorable trip, a kid in line joined us. If the line is long enough, I Looked in Grandma's trunk and I found...is usually a fun one.

Of course that was past trips. Due to the implementation of MM+, I mostly found myself ready to throw my android phone across the park in frustration. The DME ap was incredibly slow loading, and if I tried to look at our plans for the next day, I got this message--"Sorry Disney World has stopped working".

The first time I saw that, I started laughing out loud, and the family was asking me what was so funny. I showed them, and we all started cracking up.

Honestly I either Facebook or edit my pictures on my iPhone that I have taken for the day. Or I will watch people and usually end up seeing some ridiculous stuff people do in line! I don't wait over an hour for anything though, and I constantly use FP+ when I am at the parks.

Text people back home about how awesome the weather is :) lol

Our usual trip is in Jan and we live in NJ. The weather is ALWAYS better in Fl!

Long lines? Longest I'll stand in is 25 minutes, and it's usually moving along enough to keep us focused on the progress. Otherwise, I turn around and go back to the resort, swim, sleep, eat, wander, shop, play with the camera, take out some boats... Vacation = rest, not stress. :D

Smartphone and people watch. Amazing what some people do and wear at the parks :)

Isn't that the truth. So many times I've wanted to tap a young lady on the shoulder and say, "honey, leggings and tights are not pants". It's the mom in me.
