What do you do while waiting in long lines?

I am curious to see what some of us do to creatively pass the time while waiting in long lines for rides and M&Gs...besides get impatient.

I would love to offer some really creative idea, but I am part of the majority who just stares at my smartphone the whole time. At least when the parks are busy, I have no problem staying on top of my emails!

I read memos from work and follow up on any questions people email me sometimes. Sometimes I go through my photos so far and edit them. Sometimes I browse social media and this site. And if I'm desperate I talk to the family members I'm in line with.

I imagine most of today's guests will have their noses buried in their phones. However, coming from a much older generation, here is what we do/did.
Read a book---paperback, not hard cover. This is still my preferred time passer.
Read people's polo shirts.
People warch, in general.
Start a conversation with someone.
Played silly games with the children.
Had small hand held games or activities to keep the children occupied.
