What do you do while waiting in long lines?

I have been lucky to go in the off season, have touring plans and go often, so I don't wait in very long lines. While I am in line, I talk to the people I came with and sometimes the strangers next to me in line.

Do you have any favorites? My DD5 is much better at waiting in line and being patient than I am. She needs some games to keep me occupied!

I'm usually either taking in the surroundings, striking up conversations with the people waiting behind me, or on my phone.

I pretty much just stand there and talk nonsense with the people i'm with. Plan what were going to do next and look at wait times...usually too distractracted to spend too much time on the phone.

Oh yeah...and complain how long the line is and how hot it is.

Either of two things:

Pop out my 3DS and check how many StreetPass tags I've collected (I usually get about 60-70 new tags every time I go to the World), or pull up the Munzee app on my phone and capture some virtual Munzees (I've earned about 6,000 points Munzeeing at the World).

I just talk to people, ask where they're from. Sometimes it truly is a "small world". I do watch people too- hope I don't seem like I'm staring.SIT mostly if we're waiting for Soarin.

Phone stays in the safe back at the resort. This is time that I look forward to all year when I can actually have a discussion (yes, people still do that) with my wife or daughter without technology interrupting. It is a great time to reconnect, chit chat or strategize about where the rest of the day will take us. I really SMH when I see a family where each one is on their electronic device du jour...why not just stay home and go to your respective rooms?

Pretty much what I do. However, I do some line blocking when people are trying to get ahead in line. AND sometimes I break out in a song and clap my hands while my DW does a strip tease. People love this and sometimes join in.
