What do YOU collect?

Mine:

-pins from each trip. I buy a set of 7 for $30 and trade w/CMs for things to help me remember the trip.... something related to whichever resort we're staying in, a ride pin or two, something for the time of year or the year itself, etc. Helps me remember each trip.

- antenna toppers. We choose a new one each time we go, and it stays on top of my car antenna until the next trip. Right now I have the mickey ice cream bar w/the bite taken out of it.

-my DS has decided to collect fastpasses. He's got all from DHS from his birthday, so it's neat to have the date printed on them; and he's got several from MK and Animal Kingdom from our last trip as well.

-resort maps. I have 4 so far: Poly, Boardwalk, Wilderness Lodge and Animal Kingdom Lodge. However, I was disappointed on our last trip to find that they are now folded up into a tiny square. I liked it better when they were a nice 8x11 sheet with no creases.

Nothing character specific or anything, but we collect as much Christmas stuff as we can. Stockings, wreath, decorations, plates, cups, etc. I'm pretty sure we need another tree from now on to devote to Disney ornamnets. Our house turns into somewhat of a Disney shrine come Christmas time.

Actually, we just finished taking all the decorations down this past weekend and our house looks so empty now! I guess we'll need to find more Disney stuff to fill it up the rest of the year!

You ought to see my bedroom. It looks like a museum, literalily! Anything related to Hersheypark (Hershey, PA), as well as Walt Disney World, can be found in there!

Just to name what I do have in my collection (and this is just a sampling):

-Various miniature figures ranging from Mickey to Figment, and Jasmine, etc (if you have seen my "WDW Christmas Display" thread, you'll know what I'm referring to).

-A whole curio cabinet dedicated to most of my Disney figurine sets (Cinderella, Disney Fairies, Aladdin, Sleeping Beauty, Disney Princesses, The Little Mermaid, The Lion King and The Jungle Book)

-My H-O Disney Main Street station (again I also set this up at Christmas, display it in my room for the rest of the year).

-Die-cast WDW bus and ride vehicle sets (Disney Transport, Cruise Line, Magical Express, Rock'n RR, Big Thunder Mtn, Test Track and Mission: Space)

-Die-cast red-striped WDW monorail

-WDW yellow-striped monorail set (doesn't work anymore)

-WDW black-striped monorail set

-WDW blue-striped set

-WDW monorail sign accessory set

-Various Disney plushies (ranging from Mickey and Minnie, to Eyeore)

-LIFE Magazine, October 1971 with the pic of Cinderella Castle and all the characters and employees (picked this up at a toy show back in November).

-Various books, including "Since the World Began", "Walt Disney World _ the First Decade: (has some nice pics of old Tomorrowland in it) and "Designing Disney's Theme Parks" - just to name a few.

-Various WDW music CD's (Wishes, Illuminations, Official Albums from 2002 and 2006, Animal Kingdom music CD, Fantasmic, plus the Tomorrowland music loop that I found and downloaded, etc)

-And a HUGE Rubbermaid bin that's loaded with EVERYTHING you can think of from all my WDW trips (Park maps, brochures, loads of post cards, my special "Year of a Million Dreams" pin and lanyard that we were awarded when exiting Everest during our last trip, my old Mickey Ears from 1989, various

I know I forgot more but, again, that is just a sampling to what I have in my collection. I'll see if I can find some pics of my room and post them on here.

We collect...

Disney Christmas ornaments! :xmas: Since we usually head down to the World twice a year we choose ONE of those trips to "stock up" on ornaments. We usually buy anywhere from 5-10 ornaments during that trip (that's hubby & mine gift to ourselves)and so far we've probably collected about 100 assorted glass & resin ornaments...not too shabby. Our hope is that our tree will one day hold ONLY WDW ornaments...and we're well on our way to that!!! :ROFLOL:

Everything!!!

I collect a bit of everything. I started the collection 2 years ago so when I pass on to the WDW in the sky, my daughter can have it and build on it.

Some of my latest acquisitions....3 each 6 cent stamps from the 60's (or 70's???) that were issued by the US Post Office with Walt Disney on them, 2 WDW plates from 1972...along with an early 70's candy dish, a 1955 glass coffee mug with Mickey on it...and lithographs. Have 3 lithographs now! Pirates, It's a Bug's Life and 101 Dalmations. Plus pins...have tons of pins and such also. It's become quite the hobby with me this Disneyana collecting!

OH and also 2 tea cups and saucers from the early 70's with WDW on them. LOVE em'!

Evan,if you don't mind,a quick question. What is on the other side of the FW/WS coin?

Not at all! :D Question away.

Other side is the EC Logo with the bands/stripes holding it up, the "EPCOT CENTER" font and the inscription in regular font "Official Opening- October 1982".

I think it's my favorite pieces. Love it to death and was very happy to have found it on eBay...Only know of two other people that have it, and they would be brkgnews and jvrabel, of these boards.

The other coin, with the dedication, is rarer still, and I've only seen the one I own. :D

Hmm.....interesting!

You have a great collection! eBay is your friend also, huh?!

Where did you get the red book?

A very good friend... We should really start up that eBay thread, again. You saw my win earlier in the week...

Red Book, eBay. Yet another rarity...Only seen one other in person (a friend's, who got it in 1982) and another one online at that D23 Marketplace they had at the Expo.

Well, I was collecting the D23 magazine :)(), but I think I'll go back to working on my collection of coffeee mugs from the various resorts. Which of course forces us to try a different resort with each new trip, if only for a couple of days.....:)

To EPCOT Explorer, I got my Main Street station on e-Bay several years ago. I mentioned this in my "My WDW Christmas Display" thread if you followed that.

I noticed some other items on here that I also have that I never mentioned. The WDW Explorer...I have that game. Haven't played that thing in years. Not to also mention all my vacation planning videos, plus two souvenir videos of WDW from 1980 and EPCOT Center from 1982. We purchased these at the parks back in 1989 (my first trip)> I still enjoy watching those!

If I remember anything else, I'll post! :D
