Ohio Road River Runners Club (ORRRC) Darby Creek Bison 10k: 1:22:56 (13:21 pace). I finished 4th (out of 5 ) in my age group! The ORRRC sponsors inexpensive, no-frill races around the Dayton, Ohio region. This race was $10. No shirt or medal but very nice, well-marked trail runs, and good community. Website orrrc.org.

Honestly though don't you love it? I ran a10 miler two years ago. I did not run badly, but it was small race.
I finished 2nd in my division, 60 and over. I finished last in the race only 2 of us in the division.

Yes. These races are wonderful, relatively low runner count events. And being relatively slow, I'm often by myself. The Darby Creek Metro Park is a many-miles long park along the banks of the Big Darby River. There's a nature center that has a small bison herd that is a part of the race's namesake
