What did you do?

I know I rarely post in this thread, but I’m not active on social media and this forum is really my only place to discuss running things so please forgive me for this little “humble brag”...

Yesterday, I ran my 6th Space Coast Half in Cocoa (which also happened to be my 30th half). I felt pretty strong (which is rare for me) and decided to try to push my pace a little. I ended up with a 2:49 - which crushed my personal PR (also on this course) by 4 minutes! I was starting to think that I’d never get better than where I was a couple years ago, so I was absolutely thrilled. I have the WDW Half and Celebration Half next month, so I’m crossing my fingers I can keep this groove going.

I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving holiday!

I did run the Feaster Five last Thursday in Andover, MA. 55:45 for 5 miles. It was pouring that morning, and then about
10 minutes before the beginning of race. I have gotten in a couple of treadmill sessions since. I live in the Northeast,
we got a bit of snow the last few days.

Been MIA lately, I know, but still hanging in there. Found a slightly less hilly route for my weekend runs of 7-8 miles, but there's no getting away from the hills in my neighborhood which continues to really hurt my hip adductor. Sticking to one short neighborhood run (~3.5 miles), one TM run of ~3.5 miles, and one longer weekend run by the lake each week. Trying to do exercises to strengthen that hip muscle but it still hurts. I'm so happy here in Austin since our move except for all these damn hills for running!

Is your weekend run at Town Lake? Those trails are awesome. And flat.

I ran the Jingle Bell Half Marathon today. (13.25 miles) 2:43:16 not my best. Weatherwise , a nice sunny day. When I picked up my number
it was 8 degrees. (that is not a typo) It got up to the teens for the beginning of the race, 25 by the end.

I must be honest - it wasn’t until I just saw @Texas84 ’s emoji that I realized you meant 8 degrees Fahrenheit !

Okay I am both excited and feel people will just figure I am an idiot for not knowing it before. I have a Garmin Forerunner 45, I think.
I found out last night I have a treadmill function. I did not think I had a way to record my treadmill miles. I was happy. I did a few miles
on the treadmill and 50 stories on the stairmaster.

I believe that what is now called Lady Bird Lake used to be called Town Lake, so yes. The 3 mile route is quite flat, but the longer routes do have some rolling areas as well as the high bridges you have to cross if you want to do a loop. The ramp up the bridge at Route 35 is really steep. I recently started doing an out and back to that bridge rather than crossing it and coming back on the other side of the lake. I find that is a flatter route.

I ran 3.16 miles last night. About 28 degrees Fahrenheit. My legs still feel a little stiff from the Sunday Half, which is unusual.
30 days to loosen up for the Marathon.

Well my feet are killing me.....going to the doc this week. I can barely walk after today.

Today I ran 17 at 11:15.
I was supposed to run 20 but I could not.
I walked the last three.
Time to get help. I hope I can get right "enough" for Dopey

I only ran a little over 4 miles Sunday morning. The temperatures were pretty good, around 40 degrees, but the winds were pretty intense about 30 mph. I felt in a bit of a funk. I need to shake if off four Sundays until the marathon.

I ran 7.22 miles on Monday night. Felt pretty comfortable, though running in the dark, temps between 25 & 30 degrees F.
I did not run on Tuesday due to a snow storm in Maine, New Hampshire & Massachusetts.
