What did you do?

After my "all in" run on Friday.

I ran a very laid back 5 on Saturday, mainly because I was uber sore :)

So Sunday I did a laid back 9 just trying to stay healthy. I think I did it in like 85 minutes.

Yesterday was a 5 miler again pretty slow pace. Going to roll out another "all in" run tomorrow.

So 2 slow miles on the treadmill and the knee felt fine. Then another 1 mile on the elliptical for good measure. I'll likely just use the elliptical again tomorrow and then take it from there. Feels fine now! If all goes well, I'll have been pretty lucky and hopefully will just look back at this as a bump in the road.

Friday was a poor showing tried to knock out an outside run with a killer time.....but struggled in the heat of the day and ended up doing 6 in 60. I was disappointed,

Today was better did 6 miles in about 55 minutes outside.

For the first time in a month I am able to walk without limping :). I've been doing a bit of biking and core exercises so as to not lose to much fitness, and hopefully when I go back to see my osteo on Wednesday he'll agree that I can start slowly running again.

Yay!! Give it time but hopefully soon!

For me first outdoor "jog" in a couple of weeks that was pain free. Just two SLOW miles with DW which ended at a pastry shop my DDs had walked to also. And then a walk home in perfect weather.

This week: T-3, W-4, Th-3, Sat-8. The short runs were brutal. Humid and hard to breathe. The 8-miler was great. Temps dropped about 5 degrees, high & low. Lots of runners out Saturday training for the local Labor Day race.

Golf this morning.

After training in all this brutal weather, the weather for DLP will seem like a piece of cake for you :). Or maybe the sudden contrast will make you long for warmer weather ;)
