Disneyland's FANTASMIC Update: What could this mean for WDW?

After visiting the D23 website I came across this:
A BOLDER FANTASMIC!: New thrills galore will arrive at the popular Fantasmic! on the Rivers of America in Frontierland. The evil Maleficent from Sleeping Beauty transforms into a brand-new, 40-foot tall, fully animated, fire-breathing dragon. She'll have flapping wings, a moving head and mouth and, at 10,000 pounds, she had to be helicoptered in to the Park! Ursula the Sea Witch from The Little Mermaid will introduce her pet eels, Flotsam and Jetsam, who slither into the show with new power. "They come right up to the sea wall and look you right in the eye!" says Show Director Carla Carlile. And with the help of HD technology — high definition, not Huge Dragon! — the Fantasmic! video projections practically leap off the giant mist screens. During the Captain Hook pirate ship scene, look for a newly animated crocodile, who now even snaps at Captain Hook!

This is all part of the new SUMMER NIGHTASTIC at Disneyland California and DCA, Does this mean we may be seeing a change to the WDW version in the future or not?

140?:eek::shrug:

So says he, Al Lutz. From this article http://miceage.micechat.com/allutz/al022409a.htm

"Believe it or not, even with all of those extra executives Anaheim was actually running rather lean compared to Orlando. Prior to the layoffs, there were nearly 140 Vice Presidents working in Orlando alone, assigned to Walt Disney World and the Disney Cruise Line, several dozen of which were Senior Vice Presidents. And then there were the three hundred Directors spread throughout Walt Disney World and in office buildings in the nearby town of Celebration, waiting for their turn to be promoted to Vice President."

If it's true, crazy isn't it?

He was joking.

And I wouldn't expect the F! changes any time soon.

How long has the current F! been on the go? And which park got F! first or was it at the same time? I need to brush up on my park history!:o

Those changes sound great... I'm sure it would be a welcome change to our F!

Hey, with the money they're saying on reduced performances they could spend on the upgrade... (makes sense in my head)!:lookaroun

Disneyland was first in 1992, then WDW in 1996, and there are several differences, the WDW one was made more "up to date" using things like the meant-to-be-big Pocahontas and Lion king... I have to say some changes were good, imo, some were bad...

Yer, makes sense to me to :lookaroun

Sorry it is 1998, 1996 is the date they started to rework it...

Well' as you know wdwmagic' The office of Vice President is the most important office in the land. The President can do nothing without checking with the Vice President first. All 140 of them.

Yeah and the DHS one is a lot longer as well. Granted, I think the floats they use seem a bit tacky considering there isn't much room and the stadium has a small capacity which is why I prefer the Disneyland version
