No Superman?

I'll probably see it, but I'm not a fan of him at all and the trailer was terrible to me (then again, so was the Batman Begins one and it has turned out to be one of my favorite movies of all time).

In no order:

Lady in the Water - I am the only person in the world that absolutely adored The Village (even on repeat viewings) and I hope this will be just as good.

Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby - Anchorman with a NASCAR theme. That's all. Considering Anchorman might be my all time favorite film, I will be there for the first showing.

V for Vendetta - I know absolutely nothing of this comic, but the trailer has me excited. Sounds exactly what I said before seeing Sin City last year. Maybe I'll have similar results.

Click - I'd be there simply for Sandler, but I think this will be pretty good anyways. And come on Christopher Walken. Forget about it.

X-Men 3
- Brett Ratner had better not screw this up. If he succeeds, everyone will be saying "Bryan Who?" though.

Sin City 2 - Surely it won't be better than the original.........can it?

POTC 2
- The trailer didn't do too much for me, but I expect to like it just fine.

The Benchwarmers - I'm going to see if I find anything Heder does funny (Yes I hate Napoleon Dynamite worse than anything else in the world).

Cars - Will the Pixar streak continue?

Superman Returns - I think it will be amazing.

That's about all I plan on seeing in the theater, but it always seems to change.

I'm with you, Regina! (Just because they're the only two movies I'm familiar with on that list!)

POTC2 and Xmen 3. And as the smaller ones that I normally like start popping up, them too. Any period costume dramas this year? I've worn through my Sense and Sensiblity and Pride and Prejudice. :lookaroun

Is the new superman movie going to be a remake or a sequal? I hope its not a sequal to the original, because I personally did not like the original. ( Luthor and his annoying assistant annoyed the heck out of me ).

Anyway, the only films I'm really looking forward to this year are POTC2 ( most anticipated film of the year PERIOD ), Da Vinci Code, X Men 3, and Cars.

You know, when I first saw The Village, I thought it wasn't anything out of this world...but recently I saw it, and I think its a more powerful film after your know the outcome.

As for what movies I look forward to this year? Um....hopefully lots of better movies than the ones that came out in 05.

Lady in the Water is near the top of my list.

I agree. The Village had an eerie message but I liked it. If you've read The Giver by Lois Lowry, it's kinda like that.

Pirates of the Caribbean 2 and Cars.

As well as that one with the sled dogs... I think it's called Eight Below. Something like that. For some reason, it just looks really good to me.

I agree about The Village and I was blown away by it my first viewing. I felt it had a Twilight Zone feel to it, or am I thinking this because I watched a lot of the Twilight Zone this weekend?

Most people missed out of the movie expecting a horror film when it was really a character driven film. I like How M. Night plays that off so well. I have yet to hear about Lady in the Water, so I must look it up.
