Hey all,
We are planning our Jan trip and are needing some advice on where to eat affordably (i.e. less than $15 per person). The last 2 trips we have been on the dining plan, so the transition is a bit strange, since this has been the first trip in a while that we will have to pay for our food while we're there:eek::lol:

I'm curious what your top 3 or so favorite places to eat are and what you enjoy there (either foodwise or atmosphere). I'm open to counter service places or restaurants with large appetizers or whatever:wave:

Also, I'm interested in trying the character brunch at the Swan. Has anybody ever done this? I had looked at the menu on allearsnet.com and it was listed as only $17 per person. That seemed very affordable to me. Any opinions would be appreciated!

Thanks for everything!:D

I prefer staying at the BW and they have a little stand right on the board walk that sells a number of quick service items. They have a hotdog fries and soda for $7.00 maybe $7.50 can't remember. But for the price you can't beat it at Disney.

Here's one way to save on burgers, if they have double burgers of any kind ask for the meal, then ask for just a bun, take one of the patties and put it on the other bun and go to the fixins bar. Afterwards all you have to do is order a drink and fries, takes about 3 to 4 dollars off the total meal. I've had to do it because of a son that doesn't like any kind of sauce on the burger. Have fun. 8 days and counting till our third visit this year, ............ sitting on the edge of my seat and can't hold it in much longer!!! :D :D

We enjoy the Tusker House Restaurant in AK. Good food (greenbeans and mashed pototoes as side dishes :slurp: ) at reasonable prices. The only problem is trying to find a table inside, if it's hot outside.

When at Downtown Disney a nice place to try is Wolfgang Puck's Cafe not the regular Wolfgang just his cafe down the strip a bit. They have fabulous BBQ Chicken & Rosemary Chicken dinners that are out of this world. Great price too! :sohappy:

Harbor House in the back of MK at the corner of FantasyLand and Liberty Square I believe its H on the MK Map and its like the best food for the cheapest. I also like to hit up Cosmic Ray's and take in a showing of SONNY.

Columbia Harbor House at MK is our favorite counter service of all the parks. The one in America at EPCOT comes in second. We've never spent more than $10 per person at either. We also found it's cheaper to buy snacks at the resort store than at the resort food court, fyi.

Colombia Harbor House for my family as well.
Eating fish and chips at a second-floor table is the definition of the Perfect lunch.

The Earl of Sandwich is our go-to place at Downtown Disney. It might not be official Disney Eats but it's pretty good.

Counter service Chinese in Epcot-World Showcase

Oh, yeah!!! That's my favorite place ever!!!! It's Lotus Blossom Cafe, and they have the best Orange Chicken in the world, for less than $7.00!
The other two would be:
Columbia Harbor House, between Liberty Square and Fantasyland... best fried chicken in WDW;
Casey's Corner, the best Hot Dog and Fries in the universe!

OMG..... I'm so hungry... I miss WDW so much..........:slurp:

We love the Columbia Harbor House, too. The clam chowder is FANTASTIC. I liked it better when you could get it in a bread bowl, but it's still good out of the regular plastic bowl. My hubby and I order a lighthouse sandwich (olive bread, hummus, tomato, broccoli slaw--sounds weird, but we tried it once and were hooked) and a bowl of chowder and share both. It's cheaper than buying the cup of coup/half sandwich combo, and you get more food. Plus you get the bag of chips with the sandwich. Also, my 2 yr old won't eat a whole kids' meal, so we order her a side order of mac n cheese for $1.79. It's not on the menu, but we asked once and have been using that secret ever since.

I like The Earl of Sandwhich at Downtown Disney. They have quite a large menu lately. They also have a great and inexpensive breakfast sandwhich, with Kona coffee, yummy!

Epcot is full of great places: Fish and Chips nest to Rose and Crown, Liberty Inn, and Sommerfest at Germany (don't forget the Funnel Cake stand near American Adventure and pastries at France)-- Animal Kingdom has Flame Tree BBQ-- Magic Kingdom has Cosmic Ray's -- I could eat for a week in Epcot and not eat at the same place twice!
