My Girlfriend and I normally grab McDonalds on the way to MK in the morning and then Dont eat again till about 2 or 3 when we hit up Columbia Harbor House for a Chicken Strip Basket That we normally share and that meal will normally cost about 10-15 bucks and then sometime in the evening around 7 or 8 Right before its time to hit up a spot for the parade and Wishes we grab something at Starlight Cafe thats under 10 bucks. So safe to say I have a cheap date when I go to MK and I love it.

If you want a nice sit down meal for a reasonable price, you might want to try the Trail's End Buffet at Fort Wilderness. It's 12.99 an adult, 8.99 a child for a lunch buffet(noon-2:30). This has always been one of my favorite places to eat, and I think it's probably the closest thing to reasonable pricing Disney has!

We have occasionally taken a bus or a boat ride to the Riverside or the French Quarter and used the Food Court. A half a chicken dinner is under 10 bucks and can feed two (if you're not real big eaters). Earl of Sandwich and Tuskers, as mentioned before is also a bargain, as far as cost, and has relatively good food and convenience. Bargains can be found, but in the trade off, you generally sacrifice atmosphere.

If you want a fairly inexpensive sit down meal I would say the Trail's End restaurant for the buffett. It is easy to get to. Just ake the boat from MK over the Fort Wilderness. Once off of the boat follow the signs to pioneer hall.

Animal Kingdom has the best counter service:
Flame Tree BBQ - good selection of dishes and a great outdoors dining location.
Tusker House - Entrees that you don't see at counter service
Pizzafari - A more traditional menu, but still nice.

Epcot
Morocco - Something different to tickle the old taste buds with.
Land - Not been there since it's re-vamp but it was a good place to get something that is not a burger.
Japan - Nice food in a peaceful location.
Norway - More for snacks, but school bread will keep you full for a while.

MGM
Two years ago there was nothing for those of us looking for something beyond chicken strips or meat in a bun. Backlot Express has since changed, so that may be worth a try now.

Magic Kingdom
The only place that I really enjoyed was El Pirata Y El Perico, but it's always closed when I am there.
Everywhere else tends to be bland burgers, mac and cheese and chicken strips. Columbia Harbour House is the best of a bad bunch.

I like The Earl of Sandwhich at Downtown Disney.
A yummy second! Earl of Sandwich is delicious. We're lucky enough to have one here in Tampa as well. Every sandwich is $4.95. The bread is soooo yummy. It's one of the most inexpensive meals at Disney, but it's darn good. :slurp: You can see their website here as well.

Check out the Disney Dining search tool on the DIS. In the search fields scroll down to the price range entry and click on less that $10 for adult, and you'll get a listing of every menu in WDW that fits the bill. http://www.wdwinfo.com/wdwinfo/dining/diningmain.cfm

Other posters have mentioned getting double burgers and buying an extra bun, and sharing meals. Some meals are big enough for two persons. You'll also find that to be true of many of the table service meals. Some $20 entrees are plenty for 2 persons. A large drink cost more, but if your kids are like mine, they rarely finish a whole drink, so sharing a large with 2 straws is a good way to save with drinks. And if you want one big meal a day, make it breakfast, it's almost always cheaper than other meals.

Thanks you guys for all the ideas!! I've got a lot of places that I'll be looking to try!

I can't wait to go back!

The Trails End Buffet sounds like a great deal and I'm also looking forward to trying the Earl of Sandwich!

Thanks again!
