I guess this is what i get for being honest. I have reservations for my family at the akl. There are 4 of us, (my wife, 5 yr old daughter, 3 yr old son, and myself) and we are going on the VISA deal. I found out that my wifes sister, who is 16, and her first cousin, who is 15, are now able to go. I called back to check about adding them to our ressies, and was told only 5 to a room. I could have lied and said my son was only 2, but I didn't. How can I work around this problem, and keep my ressies at AKL. 2 years ago, we all stayed at the Poly in one room, and never felt crowded. Can anything be done? If not, I will probably have to tell the girls they can't go.

Ah, thanks, my mistake!

Thanks MouseMadness for clearing it up for me...cause I am lost here on who is who....:D

And that is a sincere Thank you...incase someone thinks I was being rude.

:D

And in my own defense with regards to that comment...I had no clue that ministers posted on this site....how is anyone suppose to know what each and everyones jobs are. Not meant to insult a minister...by all means.

That is why there is a DAY BED!!!!!!

I'm sorry, but a toilet to occupant ratio of 0.167 just seems entirely too low to me.

After a day in the parks, eating pizza and burgers and maybe stopping off for a beer in Germany, I need a little "me" time.

Exactly! The only place in the hotel room where a kid of 8 can sit and decode!

(I don't care if Randy has to go the bathroom)

The great thing about these boards is the diversity of the people who join. We are from all walks of life, but our love of Disney is what brings us together. Do we always agree? Definately not. Its like I tell my kids...its not what you say its how you say it.

Rob, I THINK that a DELUXE room will hold 5, PLUS an infant in a crib. 2 in each double/queen bed, 1 on the daybed, and 1 in a crib. I know I've had 5 in the Disney Inn (now SOG) when my youngest was an infant. My daughter and her friend shared one bed, hubby and I were in the other, and my son was in a crib. We still had room for one more child on the daybed. (If I was crazy enough to have one. )

However, we felt crowded with 4 in AKL, and that was with bunkbeds! The bathroom crunch is certainly an issue!!

You or your family has NEVER done anything wrong...boy its good to know that God and his family live on earth with us! AT least be honest on here....people dont want to hear how your ARE so much better than they are....every post I have read that you have posted all sound the same .... self superiority...give it up...its getting old.

It isnt that you cant afford it sometimes Niteobsrvr, sometimes its the point....why is it okay to have 4 adults and as many infants under 2 in a room, but you cant have 4 adults and a 4 year old ina room....please, its not fire codes....its for more money for Disney more than anything.....

I am a travel agent, so I know....also why is it okay that at a Holiday Inn you have have 4, 5, 6 in a room and they dont care....even at Embassy Suites, (I know they are suites, but still), Hiltons, Hyatts, Marriott's etc....they really dont tell you sorry....you have to get 2 rooms.....ONLY Disney...they do that on the cruise ships too! Disney is a family oriented business...on their cruises, they only allow 4 in a room in most rooms...in this day and age families consist of 4-5 or more....how can that be family oriented...and who in their right mind would have their kids stay on a cruise in their own room!! Especially since they sometimes cannot guarantee connecting rooms!!!

So you see....its ALL about the MONEY.....

But if they say a four year old must pay, and you say it's OK to bring them in, then at what point would you draw the line? What if someone did the same with their 13 year old? At what point is it acceptable for Disney to charge more money in your opinion?

I am not taking a position either way, I am just curious about the logic at work here. I was always brought up to follow the rules and be honest, regardless of the circumstances. Everyone is certainly entitled to their own opinion though.

Yes, that's how we have always been. :) Two queens and a daybed, then they bring in a crib, so nobody's sprawled out on the floor.

wrwrwrwreee1971, IT'S ALRIGHT TO SQUEEZE THE EXTRA KID IN THE ROOM. I GIVE YOU IMMUNITY FOR YOUR SIN IN ADVANCE. I THINK EVERYONE LOST SITE OF THE FACT THAT YOU ARE TRYING TO DO A GOOD THING BY SQUEEZING YOUR SISTER-IN-LAW AND HER COUSIN IN WITH YOU. IT'S DOUBTFUL THEY WILL BE ABLE TO AFFORD A ROOM AT THE AKL ON THEIR OWN AT 15 AND 16. BESIDES, WALT SAID HE DOESN'T CARE, JUST HAVE FUN.

AS FOR YOU, niteobsrvr, mkymaus AND SpongeScott, STOP THE BICKERING! OR WHEN YOU GET UP HERE, I'M GOING TO PUT THE THREE OF YOU IN ONE ROOM, MAXIMUM OCCUPANCE THREE OF COURSE.

The Wilderness Lodge rooms hold only.(plus a crib, if needed).
We ran into this problem a few years ago...had to end up getting a Jr. Suite.

 God, that was a good one!

I am so happy to have you among us... does this makes us a little better than the other many websites about Disney? Oh, I know.... shame on me... :o we were all created equal.
I just hope the voice about you being among us doesn´t spread too fast or everyone will be here and I don´t like huge crowds...
