I guess this is what i get for being honest. I have reservations for my family at the akl. There are 4 of us, (my wife, 5 yr old daughter, 3 yr old son, and myself) and we are going on the VISA deal. I found out that my wifes sister, who is 16, and her first cousin, who is 15, are now able to go. I called back to check about adding them to our ressies, and was told only 5 to a room. I could have lied and said my son was only 2, but I didn't. How can I work around this problem, and keep my ressies at AKL. 2 years ago, we all stayed at the Poly in one room, and never felt crowded. Can anything be done? If not, I will probably have to tell the girls they can't go.

Thanks for the clarification. I wasn't trying to say we "got away" with anything, just that we'd had the baby as our sixth person. You just validated what I assumed was the case... that she didn't count as another "person."

I'm sorry, but if God and his son live here on earth then so does his daughter. What you are advocating is against the law. Sneaking other people in...when not registered or paid for not only wrong, but it is dangerous. Some hotel chains allow more people in their rooms (must be registered & paid for.), but Disney doesn't so that should be the end of it. I'm sorry I just don't agree with the lesson he is teaching his children and other family members. I don't care how much money you spend it doesn't give you the right to do something illegal. The argument that "everybody does it" won't fly either. Ignorance of the law (real or feigned) does not make you immune to the consequences.
There was another thread not too long ago (sorry I can't locate this minute) with the same argument...somebody brought extra unregistered guest into the room. Nothing was said during the stay, but upon checkout a bill for another room (for the entire stay) was presented and had to be paid.

I'm sorry, but I feel that if you cannot afford another room & they cannot pay their own way then you should make other arrangements or leave them home. (and that is my opinion)

I do not agree with your business practices, but that is something that you & your clients have to deal with.

Do not attack others for their opinions (both niteobsrvr & SpongeScott are good people---I have met niteobserver personally). I am sorry you feel you were attacked but an opinion was asked for and was given, now let good sense take over.

If you want to shove more in there, you do it at your own risk. But if a fire is started at a resort, don't be surprised if you trip over your kids who are sleeping on the ground while you run to save yourself.

Furthermore, if a fire inspection takes place, and Disney is fined due to your actions, don't be surprised if you find a little surprise on your bill upon checkout.

Oh yeah... I wouldn't mouth off to the webmaster of this site like you did....

Rules are rules thats why they have them and I think you should be a little nicer to WDWMAGIC he is the one that runs the site . I also think you shouldnt be rude to Scott he is a very nice person and consider him a friend and if Steve doesnt ban you consider you on my ignore list from now on

Hi Steve,

I believe mkymaus is referring to me as HE and the reference was being made to the "Kicked off the bus" thread..

I wish everyone could spend a day in a cast members shoes dealing with the people breaking the rules of which most are common sense type items. There are very few cast members at Disney who get a big thrill out of having to do this as part of their job because the people who do these sorts of things are rarely ever pleasant when caught.

If you think I have stepped out of line in my posts let me know. I will refrain from future discussions along these lines.

I wouldn't sleep six in a room because I'm claustaphobic (?) AND because I don't have to.

However, I wanted to let you know that I was planning on letting two of his kids stay with me at POR (w/ the trundle bed), BUT as luck would have it - he found a killer deal at the Sheraton Villa's and now the whole family is staying there (which of course frees up my room again, thank goodness!).

He knows this is against disney regulations, but has gotten away with it for the last 2 years. His kids are 4,5,10 & 12. I understand why people do it. He knows it's wrong and I am not willing to lose their friendship over a room issue so I ignore it.

Anyhow, sorry that this thread ruffled so many feathers. Hope you all have a great day!!

Not sure I follow who just got banned,after reading the posts a lot of people should have been banned.Come on isnt this site about our love of all things Disney.I dont really care how many people you stuff in a room.Maybe the forum should be closed instead of banning people about there opinions.I just hate to see people who get caught up in there opinion get removed and not allowed back over something as minor as how many people in a room or a room fridge.Just how many have been banned?

No one gets banned over these arguments... you can say what you want. It's how you say it that gets you banned. Be respectful about it, that's fine. Be rude and you can go and p!ss off....

example:

"I disagree with you and feel that you are wrong" is acceptable

"You are stupid and don't deserve to live" is not acceptable.

also, all caps and changing topics/editing posts cause you did something wrong is not acceptable.

Um, you can put legally 5 into the Beach and Yacht club and the Boardwalk, Poly, Contemporary and Grand Floridian!!!!....just FYI...dont want to get banned for printing the truth!!!
