And "Ramp Rage"!!that would be amazing! and would increase usable volume alot and drastically cut down on in garage accidents.

Their new garage is prefab which is very different from a poured in place structure.Does anyone know how long it took universal to build their new 3 floor employee parking garage? I think it took around 6 months or so....
It is also worth noting that rushing a poured in place parking garage can end pretty badly.Their new garage is prefab which is very different from a poured in place structure.
It was also a more compact garage I believe. Disney's is pretty wide.Their new garage is prefab which is very different from a poured in place structure.

Curious question:
Does anyone know how many parking spots Downtown Disney had before the construction?
I know this garage is said to be 6,000 spaces.
how many space will there be in the marketplace garage?
I'm just curious to find out what the net gain of parking spaces is, as i seems they are getting rid of alot in doing the landing project.
well one would assume that taking the 4k number and divide by 5 would give you roughly how many parking spaces were there before demo in that area (really rough, i know ramps and all have to be accommodated, but roughly 800 spaces was inside the footprint of the first garage is probably a good guesstimate
ok in front of DQ, there are 238 double and 55 singles, or 531 cars
next section CCW, there are 315 double and 55 single slots or 685 cars,
third section has ~175 double slots, and 75 single slots or 425.
so you are just about right, the column must take up more space then i was willing to give up in calcualtions. but still 4k in the space of ~1500, is not too shabby

Uni assembled a kit, not built from scratch. i would assume the difference is size, up to a certain size, you can use precast, larger is pour in place. and concrete has a cure time before forms can be removed/moved to a new position.Thats about right.

Given the amount of land Disney has, they would be much better served setting up a large solar farm somewhere out of the way vs taking up parking spaces with it.Themed is ok but What I would love to see Disney migrate towards is full on Solar Panels over the parking lot like some stadiums do. I'm still a big fan of those.
