I'm waiting to be hired by a school as an English teacher. But I won't know until July when principals are authorized to begin the hiring process.

Which school? I sub at Robert Morgan Educational Ceneter for the most part. Good luck. I know several who are taking a leave of absence this coming year.

Hello. Been on busy, busy day, then we responded to a car accident and it was a friend of mine. Unfortunately, she didn't make it. We are just numb right now.

I subbed every day towards the end of the year at Shenandoah Middle School and I know a teacher who left. I also called this week and asked the receptionist about it. She talked to the principal's secretary and I was asked to fax my resume again (I had already given the principal my resume before). So I'm trying for that school because I've been well-received as a substitute and know people there.
Otherwise, I'm trying in Region 5 (I live in Kendall), but Region 5 is the hardest to get into :lol:

Thanks guys. She was only 20 and about to get married. I can't believe that in a blink of an eye someone can be gone like that. Someone sideswept their car and drove them into the path of another car. Of course I just think, I should have kept in touch better with her. These past few years have been just running into each other and talking with the promise that we will get together real soon. Which never happen.

Well Robert Morgan is region 6 but not that far from Kendall. It is a good school with basically a good group of kids. A choice school. Both dh and I sub there and worked close to everyday this year. Part time was pretty full time. Very close to home as well for us.

That's great! I've subbed in my region and it's harder getting work here. I subbed at Glades Middle School before student teaching and I never got called everyday. But at the other school, they wanted me every day :lol:
I must have missed something you typed out before the last paragraph but there's a word missing :lol:

I know how that feels. I lost a good friend from high school a few years ago whom I had lost touch with. I always thought about how fun it would be to see him again but never got the chance. If you've ever seen John Edwards (NOT the politician!) he says to take time to appreciate your loved ones now while they are here. It's just so hard in our busy lives.
