So they basically just drop off a gift and leave?
See, and here I am viewing it totally different.

I view it more as a mingling thing...where if you need to go, you can, but if you want to stay, you can too...(or if you need to get there late, same thing)

I don't know...I picture something much more laid back that a normal baby shower...if that makes sense. Less "rigid" structure and more time to just be with your guests. Instead of focusing on games and opening presents...you get to focus on being with your guests.

Yeah that's how she explained it to me, that it allowed you to have more one on one time with each person than you have like 45 people asking you the same question all at once, plus my mom and I liked it because we were afraid that if she just kept hearing like every 30 secs OMG you're gonna have your handss full she might kinda freak!

No like you stay and you talk to the mom and whom ever is here and she opens your gift and then when you're ready to go you vamoose...
I guess, if that's what she wants. I like to see what others have given too, so I'd be one of the lingerers I guess.

...and I'd stay for cake! :king:

Well, staying for cake is always good. :)

And see, I'm the opposite...I care what she thinks of mine, and it's neat to see the others, but...I don't know...I don't have to see her open it all. Or in this shower's case, it could all be on display, so if you wanted to see all that she got, you could. (I feel dumb and rambling... )

Yeah plus we're gonna ask each person to make decorate a onesie with t-shirt paints so that she has memories of her shower

Just saw these on an e-mail from Disney. I sooooo want to make them for Halloween, but we're not going to any parties this year, so I don't know what I'd do with them.

That's a different idea! :)

I was at a bridal shower where I had to make an ornament out of beads and twine...it wasn't easy though as I"m not creative. And all the big pieces had been taken

Why? :lookaroun

And maybe I should adopt that mentality...if only I could say no to the cookie...
Ever since my little "episode" this summer, I've totally eliminated desserts. It wasn't anything the doctors said to do, just my own idea. I've been tempted, but so far, I've been OK.
