Can't stay... I've got to wake up the princess. She woke up SCREAMING at 4:00... don't know why... she's still sleeping. I've got to get her up soon though. She's only got 2 1/2 hours till bedtime ;)

Congrats to Auntie Fishy!!! :sohappy:
So apparently the hostess is also suppose to buy the mother's thank you cards...is that true:confused:
I think the announcement looks great! So cute! I've never heard of this either. Although, when I went to my friend's shower a few weeks ago, one of the girls was taking envelopes around for people to put their addresses on. I'd never seen that done but she said she appreciated not having to address all the envelopes when she was doing her thank you's.

Do you have games planned? At this shower, they did one that....well I'D never seen it before and it was a little...well I thought it was odd. Called "Break the water". :lookaroun They had these itty bitty plastic (ok, I'm cracking up as I type this :zipit:) babies that they froze in ice cubes. The trays of them looked mighty strange indeed. Everyone got one to put in their beverage and the 1st person whose "water broke" and their baby was free from the ice cube got the prize. I kind of forgot about it after awhile and pretty soon I go to take a drink and there's a little baby floating in my glass.

No she won't let us play any games, we were all quite sad about that but o well. Plus she wants to do it as a drop by shower which is like an open house type format so she doesn't have everyone at once

I imagine she's a little overwhelmed so I guess that makes sense. When is she due?

So they basically just drop off a gift and leave?

I like that format of a baby shower...I think it's very creative, actually. Makes it so much more relaxed and less rigid. Plus, no one cares what presents you got usually besides you...so it's nice to get the opportunity to open them either at the end, when those who do want to see can see, or at your leisure at home or something.

March 10th, but the doctor said that she will have them in February because 8 months is full term for Twins. But he said that she is not to work, she's a trauma nurse, after christmas and will be put on bed rest
