Quite possible, but for so long (My videos go back to 1990 and it wasn`t there then) - but having said that, did you hear the one about the Animatronic in The Walt Disney Story? It originally spield about the upcomming Western River Expodition, but was turned off and walled in. When TWDC was ripped out they uncovered the AA, and some of its illumination was still on, having never been turned off....Thelazer said:More than likely those lights for the sign were unplugged or burnt out. Someone most likley plugged them in and/or changed the bulbs on a monthly maintenance visit and was unaware that the sign was off intentionally..
Sadly, I`m not surprised. Test Tracks barrier test car was a good case, and the semi collision in the tunnel minus its sparks still is. And as for UoE, it has so many effects intact but broken or deactivated in the diorama it`s painful. You'd be surprised at the number of things in the park that have been broken/burnt out/abandoned for quite some time now, yet all still intact and only needs a small amount of money to fix..
Sad but true... I would love for the model to be finally removed, restored to its former glory, and showcased where you can actually stand and look at it (and watch the sunset and lights come on) as originally seen in Disneylands COP upper level. Same with the EPCOT Center model that used to be in Communicore`s Backstage Magic show. How about a new attraction - 'The models of WDW'??!BTW. The model is quite old and has a number of things that "used" to work on it. The problem is no one care's enough to push getting time to fix it.
Or "One Man's Dream."marni1971 said:Quite possible, but for so long (My videos go back to 1990 and it wasn`t there then) - but having said that, did you hear the one about the Animatronic in The Walt Disney Story? Man, to be able to stand and look at the model like originally intended... what a buzz!
