We went back to Carrabba’s. They were having numerous Ian-induced headaches tonight. The roof was leaking, and about 1/4 of the tables were corralled off, while water was steadily dripping into large 10 gallon pails. Also there were signs at the door and at the hostess stand that one of their delivery trucks did not arrive and multiple items were not available … including their signature bread.

Apparently this bread is from Walmart. Mike said it was fine.

I didn’t even have to pretend that I was going to share.

Mike either.

No croutons, so you know it’s mine.

Mike went with their house salad with their signature parm something dressing. His salad was much smaller than mine. Also, it had gross tomatoes and olives.

This is Mike’s. There’s seafood pasta somewhere under all that cheese.

Most of this will also be Mike’s tomorrow. I ate all of the asparagus, and a couple of bites of the steak. (Pork chops were supposed to be on the second delivery that didn’t make it today.)
Potatoes on a separate plate.

This is funnier than you could ever know.

I have a friend that watches a LOT of GG, and I may be known to mock him a bit. Cue the Keys and there are 4 episodes every night and every morning on Channel 52. Move to Fort Pierce … different station, but 4 episodes every night and 4 episodes every morning on Channel 23.

I have watched a LOT of GG in the past month. Mike is not impressed.

Mike got up early to help Mark finalize hooking up, then we went to the beach.

As usual, Daisy was not impressed by the waves. Not a bright sunny day, but a pleasant 81° degrees. The surf was coming in so rough, that even now, an hour later, I can still taste the salt on my lips.

I picked up a handful of shells. A pocketful technically. I picked a couple with perfectly placed holes.

Mike: Why are you picking ones with holes?
Me: In case I want to make a necklace.
Mike: But will you?

And now you know I HAVE to!

I do this every time and have never made necklaces 😂😂

Moochdocking @Tuvalu tonight?
We made it to our overnight spot at about 6:30, about 2:20 south of Atlanta.

The weather was absolutely perfect, but again, our drive was not without incident.

a) About 10-15 minutes onto the turnpike, Mikey made a swear and we had to pull over again. The cover to the water tank is a ridiculous design. It was secure when we pulled out, and then it was flying down the highway.

b) Gas. We should have stopped at the second to last plaza on the turnpike, but no, we decided to stop at the last one. Unfortunately, this one was not set up the same as all the others we had stopped at, and the turn to come out of the pumps was not navigable for our size. It was then a ridiculous chore finding a station that was set up the way it looked on Google Maps.

(I wish, wish, wish, we’d been able to find a diesel. There are a few around now, but none when we were looking.)

Note going forward - to heck with the Pilots, Marathon is the way to go. We are now in Buc-ee’s territory. Buc-ee’s is RV friendly.

Said hot water cover. The little tab is all that holds it in place. It was very windy on the highway. This is the only thing that makes sense, as it was checked off the list before we pulled out.

So glad you made it through everything safe and sound!! Sorry about FW😢.
Yeah, total bummer. I met a lady walking her dog this morning before we left. She was supposed to be at FW 10/3 to 10/6 too.

She had been working as a camp host at a state park before the hurricane. She had to hightail it to a Cracker Barrel and dry boondock for 3 nights.

Things didn’t all go the way we’d planned, but we were certainly blessed to land where we did. Disney can wait.
