Yesterday was a cooler (relatively speaking) rainy day. For a couple of hours in the evening, I was actually able to open a few windows for the first time since we’ve been here.
We spent most of the evening with our YT friends. Looks like Fiona is not heading this way, so Tuesday night trivia should be a go.
They are full-timers with a Thousand Trails membership, which means they are limited to 3 weeks per campground at a time. They leave here on the 23rd and head back to Fiesta Key. Fiesta Key is the other site we considered. They have more on-site amenities, including a bar, a restaurant, and unobstructed sunsets.
Unfortunately for us, the sites are really tight. Like so tight, that you can’t even open your canopy. When you’re new to the biz, you need all the wiggle room you can get.
I would hazard a guess that at least a third of the people here are Thousand Trails full-timers, currently bouncing between those two resorts.
No time soon of course, but I could totally see us spending 4-5 months/year full timing it in the future. At that point, a Thousand Trails membership would make sense … sort of like DVC for RV’ers.
