That's sad. Please extend my condolences to Mike.Mike received some sad news today. His longtime work partner passed away. We knew he was ill, but Mal insisted he was looking forward to the two of them working the opening of his new site later this fall.
Now, of course, Mike is kicking himself for not having gone to see him before we left. Mal downplayed how sick he was though, because he was a very proud man.
A true gentleman, like no other.

it was Sushi!!Our friend went lobstering today (we knew this from IG), but nonetheless we were pleasantly surprised when he delivered two lobster tails to us.
This is same guy (not our friend) as yesterday. Only his mom and son were in the boat with him today.

He posed his fish for y’all. I appreciate a well staged food pic … even if it uncooked food.

Bon chance mon amiWe will be leaving for Trivia Night shortly. If they don’t have wifi, I won’t be able to check in until much later tonight.

We had a pretty significant storm in the early hours this morning. The weight of the rain collapsed our little 10’ x 10’ canopy tent, snapping 5 of the 8 arms. In true Canadian fashion, we duct taped it as best we could.
It’s a goner though. I doubt it survives the next heavy rain. This is why, without fail, we retract the powered canopy attached to the trailer, the second the wind picks up or it rains too hard.
$50 canopy tents are disposable. $1500 electric canopies, not so much.
Yeah, we’re fancy like Applebee’s.

Time to retire from trivia night.Trivia Night - one word (hyphenated!)
BOO-YAH!
For weeks now, they have been just shy of cracking the top three. Today … first!
It helped that we got a perfect score in Round 1; Round 2 was spelling (oh baby!); Round 4 was baseball (ha!); and with our combined brains we nailed the Family Feud-style final round.
Nowhere to go but down next week.
