The weather never did clear up, but it wasn’t raining hard, so off to Happy Hour we went.

Mike’s brother was disappointed he didn’t get a rum punch last time, so he got one today. (Two pics of the same rum punch, because I didn’t like the angle of the first pic with the menu.)

Then he got a mojito.

Me, I had water. Always water.

Our server didn’t speak a lot of English, and I speak even less Spanish, so there was a lot of pointing at the menu.

Eventually we got most of what we ordered, and something that we didn’t.

Mike ordered the sliders.

I ordered the tacos, because I figured out last time that for the same price as a side of pulled pork, I could get the tacos which had as much meat, plus veg and seasonings.

I only ate the filling of one. Mike ate the shell and the other two. These were delish. For once, he was the one doing the chair happy dance.

I ordered the pork belly. I shared. The remoulade was hecka-hot, so I only made that mistake once. Mike liked it.

I also ordered a salad. Caesar this time, because the Greek was only okay last time.

This would probably have been just okay too, but “no croutons” didn’t come across, so even after Mike meticulously picked them off, there was still crouton dust.

I ate it, but it looks like I didn’t bother with a pic.

Mike ordered the deep fried key lime pie. Somehow we got two. Mike insisted I try it. I said I’d have one taste. He guaranteed I would have more than one taste. He was wrong.

Do not fret. Not one crumb went to waste.

And now we’re back in the RV watching the Orioles vs the Jays. It’s a bull pen day.

It’s also an exclusive Apple TV presentation, which means it stinks.

Honestly Apple, I’d rather watch ads in between innings than listen to that dreadful music over and over and over.

I peeked over at Mike assuming he was in a food coma, but nope, he’s awake.

Something that costs $40 in the US is pretty much guaranteed to cost $60 in Canada. 🙁

And likely to be $100 in Switzerland 😕

I don’t like carbonated beverages all that much. Certainly not enough to pay restaurant prices for them. Did I mention I was cheap?

We have fountains all over the city, most of them with potable water. In an effort to reduce plastic bottle waste, they have now put out one water fountain in the city center that disburses sparkling water - I always fill up there if I have a water bottle with me.

Thank you. And yes, it looks like Fiona won’t be too impactful to us.

We just watched the Traveling Robert YT video of October 5, 2017, where he documented his drive from the top of the Keys all the way down to KW. The devastation Irma wrought from Marathon down was jaw dropping.

Not a lot of places to hide down here.

During Irma , the 72 year old manager of the Ernest H home in Key West refused to evacuate. She, some staff and all the cats rode out the horrific hurricane hunkered down in the house.
