Trip Report We are GROOT!

Hello friends! Well it has finally arrived and the five of us are packed up and headed to Disney World for a mega trip. We are on the road now and stopping in Columbia, South Carolina for the night. (Max we also have 2 Toyotas😁)We left a little later than we wanted to because our 2 cats, sensing our departure, escaped outside.

The cast is the same as usual, my crazy Disney family, my husband, Den, my oldest son Hunter, 18, middle child Camden, 11, Brinley, 7 and me, Deighton! Hunter graduated from highschool on June 2 and is doing a year at community College to get his prerequisites out of the way. Our extended trip is his graduation present. (His choice! Who am I to say no.) Plenty of details to come! Happy Thursday everyone! Woohoo!!

2nd safari done! Not nearly the number of animals as Monday. The posted wait was 20 minutes and it ended being an hour. We are headed to Camden's favorite next, Kali River Rapids. Still waiting on Hunter's arrival. Reservations at YAY at 1130. We are all hungry!!

In order, Pad Thai chicken, Korean Beef, Teriyaki chicken, and chicken fried rice for the Brin meister!

So last night, Den and I were sitting on our balcony partaking in a few beverages enjoying the view and conversation. The kids were all downstairs together swimming in the pool. I commented, "we have been here a week and everyone is still healthy".

5 MINUTES later Brin came upstairs and said she wanted ibuprofen because she had a sore throat and sniffles. ( you gotta be kidding me)! She had no fever but gave her kids ibuprofen anyways. Off to bed she went. I looked at the weather for today and it said the pollen count was high in this area so when she woke up, I gave her allergy meds and she seems fine but I am not taking any chances with 8 nights left I am taking her back to rest for 2 hours.

Pad Thai is my fave!!
So sorry she’s feeling bad. It’s probably allergies. Have her drink lots. That will help with the dry throat. Lots of ice cream is my suggestion! 😊

Den said, the after hours event at Hollywood Studios was completely worth it! They rode everything without wait and some things several times.View attachment 723995View attachment 723996View attachment 723997View attachment 723998
Next up coffee, shower, Epcot! My question is will the boys make it up for Guardians?? I will keep you posted!

Carolyn (DWifey) and I first rode Star Tours the year it opened at Disneyland in the summer of ‘87.
That was some serious, groundbreaking, thrill ride theme park entertainment, at the time…!!! :)
