Now that I would buy. With the V10 I bet the power to weight ratio is just insane.

I got new shoes for Dirtbag today :D The Falkens were ready for replacement, so I decided to try out some Sumitomo HTR ZII. I rather like them so far, quite a bit of grip, and they don't fight with me as much as the Falkens.

I'm getting ready to buy a new car this week and only have one left to drive before the decision is made, the Honda Fit. If I don't like that one I'll be tooling around in a Mazda3 5-door by the end of the week. I was really pleased with the way it drove, but my super practical side still wants to try the Fit.

Both of them are fine choices :) What are your views on the Nissan Versa?

The front seat was a little narrow, the center radio setup was ugly (to put in bluntly), no ABS at this time with the more appealing packages, and the factory that makes them has a horrible reputation. It drove pretty nicely though, and if the Mazda3 and Fit weren't such nice options I'd probably be thinking about it more.

I just got back from driving the Fit and I'm torn. I like the really small car feel I got with it, almost go kart like in the way it darts through traffic and handles turns. Another plus was that it handled highway driving just fine; I hit 80mph without even realizing it. It's slow off the line compared to the Mazda3 though, and the overall feel is a little cheaper-for lack of a better term. It has the advantage in fuel economy and reliability though.

I'm basically struggling to find the perfect balance between practical and fun. Both vehicles would fall under those categories, but the Mazda3 leans more towards the fun while the Fit leans more towards the practical. It doesn't help that I'm so indecisive either; I agonize over big decisions forever. This car has to stick with me through the next 4 years at UCF, and then hopefully a few more beyond; I can't afford to make the wrong choice.

#4 sounds right. Thankfully there are ways around everything in Orlando and the speed traps are well known :)

Question of the Day.

Why did Scion release the xD?

What is the point of this car...and why release a vehicle that will only cannibalize the sales of its other vehicles? (aside from the tC)

for the same reason they released the xA :)

Think of Veedubs of the 60's

xA is the Beetle
xB is the Van
tC is the Karmann Ghia

Exactly...so what is the xD?

It's on the same frame...it's the same shape/body style...it just has some different lines. The only thing they are going to do with the release of the xD is cannabolize the sales of the xB or xA.

that xA is actually no longer produced... the xD is the replacement, and the new, slightly bigger xB should already be out.
