I want to know why we couldn't have a land for the Villians (someone else said this). We have princesses, pirates, frontierspeople, and spacemen. Why not Villians? Even better, why not a PARK for Villians! There is so much potential there. Maleficent, Hook, Cruella, Frollo, Ursula, Lady Tremaine/Ugly Stepsisters, The Evil Queen/Ugly Hag from SW, The Queen of Hearts, The Ringmaster from Dumbo, Hades, Jafar, Scar, Gaston, Shan-Yu, etc. etc. Sure, I realize that Disney wants to have a family-friendly feel to it's parks, but this would be the haven for teenagers/young adults. I feel like the Villians are so discriminated against. What are your feelings about this?

As far as the idea of a Villainland goes, would be a good "Outside the berm" addition to Magic Kingdom if at all possible. Bald Mountain as the centerpiece attraction, plus some dark rides and it'd be great.

A patient of mine a couple of years ago...his brother came to visit and stay with him..I got to know them very well...the brother worked at Disney..I will not go into details where he worked...but it was a very nice position...and..they DID have plans for the 5th gate..all villians...but...9/11 came along...and it got put on hold...very sad...I came down to visit this very nice man on my last visit in 07...but I have lost contact...darn life things!

Yeah, it's been thrown around. There are some very nice imaginings of the park all over the forums. Might I suggest KingMickey's Villain's Vale?

I would LOVE to see a Villain's theme park as much as the next Villain fan, however, I do not see its profit potential. A land, however, would be perfect, or, since a land doesn't look likely, at least some sort of meet and greet. I believe that if the rumoured "new" Fantasyland does come to furition, perhaps the Belle's Fairytale Garden area should be turned into a Villain's meet and greet. After all, the area already is dark and contains overgrown shrubbery. I believe it would be the perfect place for a permanent Villains meet and greet.

I know this is such an old post but I just searched for villains as not to rethread anything.

I think the idea of (what i think should be called) Villain Village would be perfect! i really want to see more villains. anyone have any news on any upcoming villain experiences?

I think it was mentioned upthread, but this was a HEAVILY rumored thing in the late 90s right after AK opened. The idea was that it was essentially going to be a dark, villainous flipside of the Magic Kingdom. The opposition (rightfully so) claimed it to be probably too dark of a property for the Disney brand and for young kids, but damn would it have been a cool place!!!

I love this idea by the way. Having a "dark MK" would be great. Although I can see how they might think its a bad idea. A lot of kids are scared of the villains (some even scared of the nice characters when they are out) and it wouldn't be kid friendly at all. I couldn't see disney doing it as much as I want it.
