Wow, I could not disagree with you more!
You like running to kiosks and only having one at a time? You don't like being able to edit your times, switch FP selections, etc.?

Possibly. However I just used 3 FP a day in DL, for actual E tickets I wanted to ride. Not the tiered crap at WDW.
But what about the lesser attractions? How about them? This is beautiful... NO FASTPASS REQUIRED! I know, it's crazy.
I read this several times and still not completely clear. Guests have the ability to move FP from one person to another? Loophole or well documented feature?I agree that should be ok. I think the biggest abuse came from booking on a friend or family member's AP then using those to get 2 (or more) sets of 60 day hard to get FPs. (Think bypassing tiers in Pandora). And I'm still not sure that has been stopped since they can apparently(???) now book them on the friend or family member's band, hold them there, then transfer to your own band after using your initial 3. The friend's band would just be a holding spot for them now. If they don't end that, they really haven't accomplished much.
Agreed. On all counts.I read this several times and still not completely clear. Guests have the ability to move FP from one person to another? Loophole or well documented feature?
IMO if this is true, there should be no such ability. Once a FP is booked for a guest, there should be three options...keep the FP and use it, keep the FP and don't use it, or cancel it, so someone else can use it.
I'd still rather get to the parks early and chase paper FP, then do this ridiculously detailed planning months prior to trip.

I fear they had already worked out a way to do this by changing the party, but it was "even more complicated" than their original cheat. I think you had to use your own first??? Since they've deleted the huge threads and so-on, at least no one else can find out. Anyway, I hope Disney have closed that loophole too.
From "If you query the morality of this you are challenging our mods and will be banned" to "Any posts on how to cheat the system will be deleted" in less than 12 hours !! Maybe they were threatened with no more Vip treatment.
A) I don't mind, I can only use one at a time.
B) Switch to what, some minor attraction no one else wants to ride?

It is not hard to adjust FP's for most of the rides at MK during the day...with a couple exceptions. I enjoy the flexibility. DHS and Epcot would be harder as there are just so few rides overall.
If now needing to wait in a long standby line when previously you wouldn't have needed to (before FP+ with tiering) doesn't make the system awful, then your definition of awful must be different from mine. It's not but it goes against some people's narratives that "FP+ is awful awful awful and I will hate it no matter what", even when solid points are given why it's not. I don't care if someone prefers the old method, but don't knock the new method with things that aren't necessarily true. Just say I hate FP+ and prefer the original. You don't need to add hyperbole. JMO.
DHS and Epcot are slightly harder. I don't like the tiering at Epcot. But then again, you don't NEED to book a FP. Wait in the long standby line. No one is forcing anyone to get a FP for a "lesser" attraction.

I sort of look at it as a package deal. Since you can't opt to experience the parks without tiering (unless you go to MK only) you can't decide it's a great program without tiering.I agree it makes lines longer. I don't like the tiering. But I don't think the entire idea behind FP+ is awful. I see certain benefits of it. People act as if lines never existed before. I'd personally rather see FP go away and everyone wait in the same line.
EDIT: And for example, I don't like that I more or less have to get a FP for Spaceship Earth, or Haunted Mansion, or Pirates, when before the standby line wasn't so long, so now I have to get a FP in order to experience a short wait. I don't love everything about it but I enjoy booking it on my phone, I enjoy the flexibility of switching attraction FPs, not running to different kiosks around the park. I know it's not for everyone but I'm one who can find the benefits in something while also disliking some aspects of it.
Besides, if you really want an extra FP, just complain a lot. They give them out like candy.
*Edit* They gave them to me like candy. Wife and I actually laughed about it being their first response to any legit complaint.
Currently, you cannot change anything but the time or attraction on an existing FP+ and add or remove guests on the selected FP. And I believe this has always been the case.
I complained about something once and we got FPs for everything but Mine Train. So then I complained about that and I got free ice cream
My biggest issue with fastpass is how Disney puts the priority for FP ahead of the standby when it doesn't have to or to such an extent. The biggest culprit of this is Space Mountain. If you are going to make an entire half of the ride exclusive to FP riders then you shouldn't send the FP riders into the standby line, which they routinely do. This just makes the standby line wait even longer. That, to me, isn't fair.
