And what about entertainment options at the Mods where there isn't Valet parking?? If this is right, I know a few bartenders and servers who will be not very happy! Marie

They can Uber or Minnie Van, or go from the park. I think it’s a bigger issue at the deluxe resorts.

If true, this is a welcome change.

Sounds like we have protest or even a boycott coming up the road with this one.

Speaking of which, I received a call from someone on the behalf of George K, they said they this would basically be a test and they are aware of all the complaints about this on the internet already. I've also emailed Orlando Mayor Buddy Dyer who said he would be bringing my concerns to VisitOrlando CEO/President George Aguel. Hopefully we can have some form of intervention by us the fans and maybe VisitOrlando or even elected officials.
BRILLIANT!!!! Marie

I don't care whether it's a trend or not. Disney can do whatever they want and it's not "wrong" (outside of outright lying to people). They could charge $287 per night for the right to use a toilet and it's not "wrong" as long as the fee is known and disclosed and the guest willingly agrees to pay it. This is a free exchange of services for money, entered into willingly by consenting parties on all sides. "Wrong" has nothing to do with it.

Don't like it, don't pay.
I can't deny that. I suppose I have more issue of them explaining it like a 12 year old throwing a temper tantrum then anything else. You said what they said, but much more professionally.

Good. This is a HUGE problem at Animal Kingdom Lodge. Bunch of Cousin Eddies showing up every evening to gawk at the architecture and savannas. It's gauche.

I got flamed for saying something similar last year after staying at GF during Thanksgiving weekend and following week. I couldn’t even get a family photo in front of the Christmas tree in the evenings.. never had a place to sit in the lobby. Could it have been full of GF guests?- possibly, but doubtful due to so many park shopping bags and backpacks. Allow resort hopping, I definitely hopped on the monorail.... but Disney should cut down on how many people can easily do it.
Most of all- make sure the overnight guests have a place to park.

I had a similar experience at Poly the year before.
Both times I’ve been on the launch at least once where people were going back to their cars that they had left parked at one of those resorts.
I don’t know if this is a new problem, I don’t remember it as much in prior years.. but 2015 was my first visit since 2009.

I won't post the source since it isn't right to do, but here's an argument that can be summed up as "Disney is following the trend and isn't doing anything wrong".

Personal note - I feel Disney should be a trend setter, not a follower (for better or worse). Just because XYZ is doing it, doesn't mean they have to. Be different, be unique, be special. Don't be another company XYZ.

I think I'm done with that forum. I can't stand it when an owner isn't professional and just yells at its' own users for having a personal opinion. Thankfully @wdwmagic is a good place to have conversations and arguments. It probably has some of the most "enjoyable" arguments I've seen around the internet. No name calling, screaming, shouting, or swearing, just people trying to make their point (well 99% of the time). And luckily, this sites owners express their own opinions on various topics (food/ride/etc reviews).
I completely agree that Disney should be the trend setter and not a follower. That was very well put. I have always looked up to Disney when I comes to customer service and family experiences. They set the standard and market their customer service approach to outside companies. Disney has a faithful fan base that will pay the added fees. However, I feel like the parking fee is a little much. Parking fees at hotels have always left a bad taste in my mouth as a customer. I don't really care about people who disagree with my point. I haven't complained once about increasing ticket prices or other costs going up. That's the way the world works. But you really don't have to add parking-fees out of the blue.

I just got word from a friend who’s high up at the DRC that effective immediately, no guest will be permitted to enter a Disney resort with there own car for any reason without a valid dining or resort reservation. No more visiting resorts, shopping, or eating quick service without taking a bus now....
Like the already crippled Bus system can handle the extra traffic... Not that they care....$$$$

This contradicts the message on the WDW website as well as internal communications.

I believe this. We have been turned away without an ADR and told to go park at the TTC even when we offered to park valet

Hasn’t this always been the case? Let’s be honest, thanks to dining reservations 180 days out, is anyone really walking up to any TS at WDW expecting to be seated?

I honestly thought it was policy for about 8 years...

In the past some mall cops didn't care...but I think that ended as of midnight...it turned into a pumpkin

I would say "seldom enforced"...but it was easy to talk around...

I could say I was going for tonga toast at captain cooks 365 days a year...now that gets you 2 minutes for boarding and a $25 fine
We use to watch the special event fireworks from the beach at the Poly, but we always got a late ADR are Kona so we were "legal" and would not have to pay to park at the TTC.

Please don’t shoot me but I haven’t noticed an answer to this. I’m DVC - if I stay in a studio at Kidani will I be charged for parking? Anything I’ve read mentions ‘Deluxe Villa’ won’t have to pay.
