Those lines were never in the WDW version, right? They did not add the projection.
no, they were pretty much there... the Davy Jones effect replaced em in Disneyland, so I was kinda hoping they'd stick around in FL's, kinda like DL kept the Jolly Roger we lost.........

thanks for the great video!

I was hoping they would keep those voices as well. I guess they replaced that audio with the Movie's score since that is right where they used to be. You would hear them right after the drop. All together and rushed though. Kind of a scrunched together version of Disneyland's...of course we all know WDW's pirates is anyway. Yeah they were definately in there though. They were not always the easiest to hear and would just constantly play right in the area as soon as the boat splashes down. It kind of jumbled with the battle scene a little bit. To bad they could not have the Jolly roger say some of those lines instead of taking it out. Thanks Rick for the pics, video and update. Good man always on top of things that is awesome!
Much appreciated!

Good to see a fellow (former?) Tech student on here. ;)

I'm going to Tech this fall...VIRGINIA TECH! LET"S GO HOKIES!:D

But, anyway, I love the changes. The AAs look great, and the Davy Jones projection looks like a really neat effect. The outside is an especially welcomed change, at least for me. I feel that it draws more attention to the ride than the previous singage did.

Having too much forboding though prior to the experience is like showing your hand. A classic Disney theme, is getting yourself into a bad situation through a normal one. How many attractions are based on the premise of "Everything's Fine, but something went wrong?" Though our Haunted Mansion, when in good repair, is superior to Disneyland's, I still like their exterior facade that has the tame look to it. I'm a fan of deception I guess.:drevil: The imagineers of today have less tact than the imagineers of yesterday. I still haven't forgiven Tony Baxter for bastardizing pirates ten years ago.
I'm curious. What did Tony Baxter do?

Tony was the lead on the political correcting of pirates. Political correctness has put this country on a waterslide to hell. If I'd been ordered to do what he did, I would have resigned. Sure, the changes were minor, but what is happening culturally is the result of these minor aquiescences to political correctness.

So I'm confused. Are the three pirates in the prison cell with the dog holding the key outside still in the ride or did they remove them to make room for the final jack scene?

They are still there. The treasure room was always on the opposite side of the cells.

That will never be taken out....especially since it is also in the movie.

^Unfortunately Captain Jack is not in that scene (which would've been great, if you ask me)

Here's Captain Jack Sparrow in the final scene:

Just a bit of Trivia:

The Chair that Jack is sitting in in the final scene (which is the same at DL, and this holds true for DL also) is from the table in the Ballroom in the Haunted Mansion Movie. Imagineering must have just had a bunch lying around recently, because one is also featured in one of the new portraits in the attic at Disneyland, as well as sitting next to that portrait. Connection? Hmmm . . .

I think it is great how realistic the Jack Sparrow animatronic looks. I does make the others look a little less real, but it is great.
