WDW Picture of the Day

While I don't understand why The Mom would want a limit (something to do with space, maybe), I do know that she has the ability to lock the thread and then no one will get to enjoy the pictures that you all will post in the future. So, you all need to take that into consideration.

Ditto. Although, I'm sure most of the posters above probably did not recognize the fact that The Mom is a moderator. There will always be some drama in every thread. I can't imagine some of the "I hate" threads without mods. :lol:

High bandwith, etc. There are most likely space issues, and I imagine the high volume of photos per page slows the Forums down as well.

I wouldn't worry about it, all six of my images are hosted off-site and do not drain much (if any) bandwidth from this one.

she does this a lot. I think everyone was enjoying this thread so much. there are a few, however, that could limit their pics some..........

Yes, I am a moderator; No, I'm not going to lock the thread (unless I absolutely have to you) Yes, I do this sort of thing a lot....I'm a MODERATOR. Yes, I also think these photos are quite lovely and I enjoy looking at them myself.

But the title is PICTURE (singular) of the DAY. If you have a lot of photos you would like to share, please spread them out over several days so the thread can continue. What's so difficult to understand? :shrug:

And yes, I can go in and just delete them, but I would rather that you do it yourselves, so you can choose which order you would like to post daily.

1 photo in a post/day is OK, 2 is so-so, but 3 or more are too many at one time. You are allowed to store photos elsewhere and link to them in order to save bandwidth.

This is one of the best threads on the site. I don't think we should limit it. Some of these pictures are really great. Keep posting.

Again, I don't wish to limit the thread, just the number of photos posted per day per poster. You are quite free to post a dozen photos, as long as you spread them over a dozen days. In fact, that would give us all the opportunity to really appreciate each one, rather than scrolling through a whole bunch at once.

Thanks. I'm really happy with the new Sony camera. The other pic was taken on the sunrise safari.

As a side note, I posted those before I read the request to limit it to one pic a day, I will do so in the future.

No problem. :wave: As I said, a couple would be OK; I just don't want one poster hogging all the limelight (and bandwidth), as it were. Let's give everyone a chance. And if you have a ton of great photos (which a lot of you do) just put a link to your photo album. We also have a whole forum devoted to photos, and another to trip reports (which can include photos); we're just trying to keep the general forums uncluttered.

I take this same picture of my husband every time we go to the park...I have some better ones on a different computer where his hands are perfect, but this works for now. It was such a cold, dreary, rainy day and we had a blast anyways!

Next trip this Saturday!!!!

You know when I first looked at the photo, I thought he was either holding the golf ball in his hands or that something was done to the photo to make it look like he really was holding a golf ball in his hands :sohappy: Then I looked at it more close the next time Great Photo :wave:

I am really enjoying this thread. I take tons of pictures at WDW, but my photography skills do not match my efforts.

I love the shots of SS, 'cos that's where I'll be staying next!
I also love the AKL shots, since I stay there often.
