Azerin!!!!
SSE is so Great to Photograph, especially at night. Awesome job. I notice you have the Canon 30D. I just purchased the 40D at Christmas time which was after our last trip. So, I am anxious for the next trip to use my new camera. I still have a little learning to do with it. Plus this gives me time to acquire some more lenses & filters before Jan. '09. It's my first time with a Canon. Any suggestions? Please PM me if you have anything to share. :sohappy:

Thank you :D You have some great shots yourself! I am more than happy to give whatever help I can... learning the camera is definitely important... this is my 3rd trip with the camera and each trip I feel like I am learning to use it better and better. So definitely take any chance you can between now and then to use it... better to practice things like fireworks photography on something like local 4th of July displays that you don't really care if your shots aren't great than the ones you really really really want to come out. As far as specific advice... I can PM some thoughts on various lenses and stuff... or feel free to PM to ask me anything :) I am not a professional by any means but happy to help if I can :)

One thing in general I really suggest is to look at the exif data for any shot you really like... I know I have learned a great deal just by looking at other people exif data for awesome shots.

Here is a pic for today :)

Azerin, not sure if I've asked you already or just meant to :hammer:, but what camera do you use? Your pictures all come out so perfect!!

Try this next time you are at the Contemporary:

First off....this is a very nice picture....but....I really hate that they put that there. I loved the big openess of the Contemporary and now it just has a big dumb store and a much crappier arcade.

It's the little things like this that make me sad that i'm not there:cry:. Does anybody else remember when they had the trams in Fort Wilderness.

Oh, I do, I do! it was so much fun. They were some of the funniest drivers in WDW.

I should do that! Since I'm a CM I park in cast parking at MGM but that is still a HUGE lot! I wondered around there looking for my car for a bout 20 min one night. Next car I get will have the remote with the alarm I can set off to help me.

Oh, that is so true. It is so hard to find your car every night; no matter what parking lot you are at. I've learned one thing. Park your car in approximately the same place every day. If you have a chance to get a really good spot that day, don't take it. You'll walk all the way to the end of the parking lot before you realize you had a great spot today and have to walk all the way back.

Amazing shot. That little topiary is sooo small and you have made it seem like it is a huge part of WDW.

One more.....

Can I just say I love the World Showcase Players....Grail Grail Grail Hungh!

This picture I like to call "The Magic Moment" okay so its not THE magic moment when you see the castle for the first time but its pretty close. Its literally steps outside of the tunnel. Obviously taken on my December trip.

IMG_0449.jpg

That is the "Magic Photo". Suddenly you are transported to the turn of the previous century and life is bustling around you. You smell the popcorn and taste the air. And just a short distance is the view of the castle. Suddenly every bone and muscle in your body relaxes as you experience the wonder and your lungs exhale in relaxation. Then you start thinking about wait times for rides and you rush off to here and there. The best thing is to head right to Liberty Square where the feeling lasts. Then you can wait for HM or some other ride.

The other park, for those that dont go.

Who cares if this is another park? Pumbas, you take great photos. And really, how many people don't go to both parks at some time in their trip? For me, while Disney does atmosphere much better, Universal does rides better.

I'm always amazed that more people don't wear this costume in the parks. It is adorable.

SSE is so Great to Photograph, especially at night. Awesome job. ..... It's my first time with a Canon. Any suggestions?

Trivia on SSE...There are at least 10 visible, perfect pentagons on Space Ship Earth. Try to find them next time you are there.

As for the Canon, as with any camera, just keep playing. If it is dusk, in your house, take a bunch of photos of a chair in your living room and use as many different settings as possible. Do the same thing with the lights in your neighborhood. Do the same thing in bright sunlight. Do the same thing with photos of your kitchen in the daytime. Use a flash, don't use a flash, try it all. It will give you a great idea of how your photos will come out.

I'm feeling the need for some matchmaking and some fashion advice. We've got 2 list members who I feel might be perfect for each other. There is a bit of an age difference, However, in a few years it will be irrelevant. We've also got a list member who has a very beautiful face but could use a little help in the fashion department. I'm no fashion queen and often mess up myself, so if I'm noticing it, it must be obvious. Keeping quiet for now though.

Thanks to everyone for the kudos on the Monorail pic.

Azerin & Gorjus. Thanks for the advice on the camera. Great trivia about SSE Gorjus.

Here's one of my favorite MK pics from this part trip on a particular cloudy December morning. We had early dining ressies, hence the empty park. :sohappy:

There's something very nostalgic about this shot. Very, very nicely done!

Great pictures of SSE, Azerin!

JeffB, who is that guy at the Poly? He looks a tad bit like Jerry Garcia (although it's obviously not him)

Wow Nicole! This wasn't with a good camera, was it? Definitely a cool pic!
Thanks Kat! It was taken with my point and shoot. I was so scared it would get wet, especially since I was in the front. But right after I snapped the pic, I shoved it in my purse and all was well.
