Great pics! It amazing how close they get to each other! I'm not sure if it is a blessing or a curse but I live very near the United States Air Force Academy, during games, graduations and other special events they have fly overs with different kinds of aircraft so if you want to sleep in you can just forget it with the loud noises that come along with it.

My birthday present arrived today!! I finally got my 17-55mm f/2.8 IS USM lens I've been wanting for a year now! I ran outside to try it out and came across a bee on these funky flowers. This is NOT a macro lens but look at the sharpness I got from quickie handheld shot!!

I've only had like 20 minutes to play with it but man...I can't wait to spend some quality time this weekend trying out my new lens!! (For the record, holy crap it's huge! By far my largest/heaviest lens. It's going to take some getting used to handling this beast! :p ) But weeeeeeeeeee! I'm so excited. What could be better than new glass for your birthday? :D
