They were a gift from the mother-in-law, an antiques dealer, who told me "don't you dare use them"

Thank you...Yes my work does involve clams, but not those particular ones...those are surf clams washed up on the ocean whereas I do work with clams in the bay.

Great shot, what program do you use to get rid of the smoke? I'm playing around with Light Room, just have not perfected it!

I had to go back and look at the original RAW files. I didn't see any significant smoke and I don't remember doing anything special during post.

If there was some smoke that needed to "disappear" I guess the Content-Aware Fill in PS CC or CS6 could do the job.
