wdw photo update - 7/13-7/14/04 NOT 56K FRIENDLY!!!!

Went on a rampage across WDW yesterday and today, getting pics of things...

so here they are

1- 20k (repost, but part of a larger post idea I had, so deal with it)

2- new MK smoking area

3- construction at the contemporary

4- NY Street

5- Food and Wine booths on back roads of WDW (visible to any guest on a VERY busy day at Epcot, in which they utilize the entire parking lot)

and in the midst of all this change, something refreshing..

cut lil' ducks at the Grand Floridian Swimming Pool (no I was NOT swimming there)

Great pics as always, Rob. Love the ducks. One of the funniest things is to watch the ducks all appear from the bushes at the WL when the lifeguard blows the whistle...they all hop in the pool! :lol:

How high is that construction wall around the cherry pickers on NY/SF streets? Are you standing on something?


Haven't the F&W booths been sitting there since they were removed? I know they were there around Jan/Feb at least.

You can see the Golden Gate Bridge now...it's not exactly as big as California Adventure's (if you missed it, check the top left corner of that facade--it's small yet unmistakable.

thanks for the pics.................. like said before, 12 hours away and it is nice to see something nice like that.

aaaahhhhh, that really p's me off when they leave things like that sitting out for everybody to see. i mean really, state fair grounds, yes, six flags, yes, not disney. hello, can we have a clean-up crew to clean the boothes up off the side of the street. i think that the vendors drank to much and lost thier loads when leaving and didnt know it. lol (but still makes me mad)

Thanks so much for the pictures Rob, they were interesting. Gotta love the ducks in the pool. I had never seen a picture of the pool at the Grand Floridian so that was interesting as well.

No. It's up against the old Hunchback threatre. There is a Chicago skyline going in as well.

Thanks for the pics, Rob. I know this may have been discussed, but is the destruction of 20K going on right in plain sight? No construction wall up or anything to buffer it from the guest? Makes me sad to see that. I remember riding 20K on my very first WDW trip

there are walls, you have to stand on a park bench or get a boost to see over. disney hasnt stooped that low. stay tuned, they might by tomorrow.

Thanks for the update. The pics. of 20k are great. I'm so glad to see something is being done to that area. Interesting that a crane has popped up around the Contempory. Food and Wine booths look the same as normal, but is always a big, enjoyable festival. (i don't do the wine, but the food is always really good! :slurp: ) Again, thanks for the Update.

Gosh, i hate Block-out days! I want to go to WDW, before that August 12 that is coming so slowly!!! lol :lol: well, when you can't go to WDW, go on the Cruise!!!

Thanks for the pics, MKT. I've been in WDW this whole week, and I have seen everything except for the Food and Wine Festival booths and the 20K lagoon destruction/construction. I may sneak a few photos myself of that, it looks like a real mess in there.

Great pics! I can't believe how that looks with the Food and Wine Festival booths and set-up at the side of the road. Very unprofessional indeed.
