Yes this is true. Nextel is going gung-ho putting up more towers. This is because Disney is doing away with there current 2 way radio system in favor of Nextel's direct connect. Disney feels that it would be cheaper to pay Nextel to maintain a network of radios that to keep there own department as they have had for 33 years.

That's true Dave, when entering through the back. But when entering from the front, it is a guest area. Especially when the park fills up and they have to park people back there/dump guests out through woodpecker road. It has gotten that busy before.

Do i have to post video of this? Its not a guest area, and theres no way to enter from the front easily. Its blocked off with cones and a tram lane. There's only one day per year when it MIGHT get that busy, and thats New Years Eve. But ive never seen Epcot that busy where that lot would be used and i dont think it ever will again. Guests arent supposed to be there, hense the sign at the gate area right off of backstage lane.

Long story short, if its not a guest area, how can it be bad show?

As for Nextel, i'd like to see them fix reception in the utilidors before adding to the contemporary. Calls drop like no tomorrow from down there.

That is a good move....why pay for a communications systems, tech upgrades, and maintenence when you can have an outside company do it for you.....good business decision.

Hey Rob!! Thanks for the pics. I have to say that the San Francisco skyline looks pretty impressive for a facade, considering I get to see the real thing every day. But, what are those two antenna like poles sticking up from the facade on the right?? Is that part of the skyline? Just wondering if they're trying to build Sutro Tower as part of the skyline.
